Perfectly Powerful Prayer Often people ask, "Am I praying the right way?" All prayer is good. Yet some forms of prayer are more effective than others. Edna Lister asked, "Are you ready for greater prayer? You can always put more into your prayers. All you need to do is to forget everything else. Forget self. See, think, feel only God’s Light until you speak only to God, of God, thanking Him that He is there. Just talk to God. Tell the Master how much you love him, and thank him that he is there." "Talking to God" is Edna Miriam’s way in prayer. She practiced moment to moment intimacy with the Father all her earth life. "It is the Master’s way," she taught. "If you spend your time always talking with God, you must eventually become God-conscious," she said. The first act of Creation was "God said, Let there be Light: and there was Light. And God saw the Light, that it was good: and God divided the Light from the darkness." God spoke the Word to create. The Gospel composer John wrote: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . All things were made by him." God, the Father-Mother, begat the Eternal Son of Light as the Divine Template for all subsequent lesser personalities. We are those personalities, Divine in origin, of whom the psalmist wrote: "Ye are gods." Of all the Father’s earthly Creation, only humanity possesses the ability to form the Divine Alphabet of Creation into words. Speaking the Word, as God spoke the Word to form the heavens and the earth, is the essential step in perfectly powerful prayer. The gift of speech is our most valuable tool for making, forming, and creating form from Light. Therefore, as students learning how to become full co-Creators with God, we pray aloud to release the Power of the Word. The Master himself taught us valuable guidelines in prayer when he gave us the Living Soul’s Prayer to Melchizedek, the King of Righteousness: "When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the open streets, that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father in secret, and your Father seeing in secret will reward you openly. But when you pray, do not babble vain repetitions, as the heathen, for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him. Therefore, you should pray this way": Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed is thy name. Thy kingdom is come, thy will is done on earth, as it is in heaven. Thou hast given us this day our daily bread. And thou hast forgiven us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors. And thou leadest us not into temptation, but deliverest us from all evil: For thine is the Kingdom, and thine is the Power, and thine is the Glory, forever. Amen. For 2,000 years we had only the version of the "Our Father" prayer as recorded in the Gospels, written for the masses of humanity. When Edna Miriam asked, the Master granted permission for her to release upon earth the true Prayer of Melchizedek, as he taught it to his initiated disciples, who included many more than the twelve named, and many of whom were women. Edna Lister began her quest for God in childhood, and pursued it all her life. She left us a tremendous written legacy of her journey and insights. Yet, how grateful we are that some of her students recorded what she said, as well!
Your
Magnetic Powers We are Spiritual Substance, which is perfect, whole and complete, untouchable by anything of the outer world. Spirit cannot be touched, separated or divided. The basis of prayer, to which we can turn forever, is "Ask anything in my name, believing that ye have it, and ye shall have it." If I then ask intelligently for anything on earth, the invisible Substance of it is in my hand. I do not ask again, but believe forever that I do have it. I then release Love, thank God that I have it now, and let it become visible. Keep on releasing a little more love, and praise without ceasing: "Let it become visible. Open my eyes to see it. Let it come to pass." Pray, believe, and thank God for it. The following three Laws dovetail in this: 1) "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you," 2) "Give, and you shall receive," and 3) "Love is the fulfilling of the Law." Let us tie up to these Laws the declarations of "I am in the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom is within me, and all these things shall be added." We must take our minds off the world of appearances, always. We must release Love, which is Divine Substance, all the time, and know that we are living in the inner kingdom. When we have released enough Love, we shall have everything. Praise condenses Divine Substance and brings it into visibility. It is always God’s perfect time to let us have anything we want. The Master said, "All the works that I do, and greater, shall ye do," to which we might add, "if you follow, live by my laws, assume the responsibilities that I did, and become personally responsible." Our statements must be both specific and general. Sometimes you may need to speak aloud, and even shout, which releases the Power more dynamically. Use definite tones of command, intense conviction, and name the person you treat. When thoughts of fear, lack or doubt cross your mind, put more Power, more emphasis into your statements. Examples of specific statements include, "I am (Name), now ready for my Teacher, ready for my mate, for companionship, for perfection. I am now ready for my very own. Nothing can touch me that does not belong to me. Only my own can come to me. I am now coming into my very own. I am now accepting my new position, my promotion, increase in salary, for perfect health, to give perfect service. I am now filled with the Life of God, filled with Peace, filled with Poise, filled, ready, accepting. I am now receiving, now, now, now. I am now building my new eyes. I am now praising and loving God. I am now praising and loving my family. I am now praising and loving the world. I am now praising and loving my new position." To yourself, say, "Name, you are now building your new body, your body consists of pure Spiritual Substance. Your heart consists of Spiritual Substance. Your eyes consist of Spiritual Substance," etc. General statements are also necessary. "My body is now the Temple of the Living God, and God is in His Holy Temple. God is in the midst of me, healing me. The Life of God now fills every cell in my body. Every cell is now alive, alight and alert with the Life of God. A wall of Love shall surround every cell that my Heavenly Father hath not planted. Light shall melt, dissolve, absorb, and make every unlikeness to Thee into Spiritual Substance. If I go to the uttermost parts of the earth, Thou art there, even to the utmost depths." A sample of healing rhythm for a general statement is, "I am that radiant Life, I AM (or use Light, Love, Strength, Power, Health, Joy, etc.). I am releasing the Power of Love, which goes forth to melt, dissolve and absorb all darkness, and establish perfection. Peace, Peace, Peace." Some teachers have their students use the rhythm of nine instead of three. We use groups of three, such as Peace, Peace, Peace, Love, Love, Love. Use these statements always. If you can use them ten thousand times a day, so much the better. Praise, then see the Master on the Mount of Transfiguration. Do not use denials. If you unconsciously use a denial, follow it quickly with a strong, positive statement.
"As oil mingles with oil, as water mingles with water, as air mingles with air, so does my life expand, and mingle with the Life of God." Close your eyes: Imagine yourself within the heart of a radiant Sphere of Light, and open yourself, which draws you into the Light and the Light into you. Within this Light we live and move and have our being. This moment we are touching the innermost Power that is, Power that goes forth and accomplishes, which radiates, makes perfect and complete, which is Divine, all-knowing and all-seeing. That Power is ours now. We are the Power now, and the Power goes forth to accomplish perfection. Enter your chamber of Silence with hands up to send forth the Power of Love that fills the whole body with Light, carrying Light to every cell of the body, melting, dissolving, absorbing and transforming it into God’s infinite perfection. Bring all your dear ones into the room, hold them up, and "know" until you "sense" that your fingers are touching their point of weakness (the stomach, heart, head, etc.). After lifting,
speak the Word, and the Power does the work. With closed eyes and relaxed
mind, know that you are one with all, that you are a radiant
being of Light, that you can release the Power of Love.
This Power fills your body and consciousness with Inspiration, Illumination
and Understanding. The
Magic Hour The Silence is not concentration. When we enter the Silence with the statement, "As oil mingles with oil, as water mingles with water, as air mingles with air, so does my life expand and mingle with the Life of God," it makes us God-conscious. Close your eyes and reach up to the Most High. Know that you are drawing into the Heart of Light. In this Heart of Light we have become one with each other and with all that is, now. We are opening our minds to receive great Inspiration and Illumination. Light shall reveal the Truth of the Universe unto us, beyond any previous revelation, in this moment. Let our eyes be opened. Let that which is our own appear. Let our own be poured out upon us this very hour, and it shall be so. Amen. We can get to God only through Love, which is the key, the magic wand that opens the way. There is as definite a method and technique for entering the Silence, as there is to mathematics. We go through a certain process. Don’t try to make your mind a blank, or a vacuum. We have tried to make our minds a vacuum, but cannot. Our conscious mind is merely the functioning part of our mind, which also includes the subconscious and the superconscious. In the Silence we automatically tune in on the subconscious mind, which is the phase that reminds us of things. At night, give the subconscious an opportunity to register what it wants. Try to listen to it. Hold back, hold back, and listen. Train it to produce thought-pictures. Give your subconscious mind suggestions immediately preceding sleep. Immediately upon coming back to consciousness, before arising, give the subconscious a chance to register its ideas. Then give the superconscious mind a chance to register on your brain. See what the revelations are in the morning, then listen to the superconscious. The Silence is everywhere. We can consciously enter it anytime, or anywhere, since we are always in it anyway. As we turn our attention to it, we surrender to it. It takes all of our concentration to keep ourselves surrendered to the Silence. First, sit, lie or stand comfortably. Keep the spine straight, which is imperative. Do not put your hands in your lap. Lift them, palms up, facing inward toward your ears. We actively send forth the Power, as we lift our hands in an attitude of selfless surrender to God. We take nine steps to enter the Silence: 1. A statement of surrender. 2. Relaxation of nerves and muscles. 3. Several deep breaths. 4. An idea so great that it just envelopes everything. 5. A picture to follow the idea. 6. Praise and devotion. 7. Treatments. 8. Again praise and devotion, and humble waiting. 9. The spoken Word. The first step:Make a statement of surrender, such as: "As oil mingles with oil, as water mingles with water, as air mingles with air, so does my life expand and mingle with the life of God." Another good statement is, "The Kingdom of Heaven is everywhere evenly present and available. I am in the Kingdom of Heaven now, and the Kingdom of Heaven is within me." It took me five years to learn to enter the Silence. Now I can enter the Silence while using my hands to do a task I do not need think about. The subconscious follows the hands, and leaves the mind free. Activity intrigues and lifts the subconscious to become one with the superconscious. We cannot enter the Silence if we have any resentment in our minds. If, during the Silence, the subconscious injects something into your mind, write it down on a pad. The subconscious mind is our "adversary," and we should "agree with the adversary quickly," saying to it, "You are a marvelous servant and mind. I appreciate the idea you have just brought to me, but I have no time for it now. Let us lay it right here on the altar. We are entering the Silence, and when we are through with that, remind me of it again." We should love the subconscious mind and lift it up. Raise your fear or anything that is negative and unlike God, lift it up, lift and agree with it. If your stomach hurts, tell it what a perfect stomach it is. Tell your brain what a perfectly marvelous brain it is, that it is going to be constantly and definitely perfect. The second step into the Silence is to relax nerves and muscles. You cannot enter the Silence with tense nerves and muscles, or relax when tensing the muscles to concentrate. Yet you can enter the heart of the Silence by complete surrender. It takes relaxation to surrender. As I enter the Silence, I raise my hands to lift everything and everyone. Take three or four deep breaths, and lift all burdens. Lifting uses or involves the subconscious, since it follows the hands, and causes it not to interrupt. Concentration is purely mental, and when exercised through Will, then mental force returns to us. One teacher warned his pupils that if they sent out the Power by concentrating on it, to be ready to take it on the chin when it came back, or it would knock them down. Holding the hands up lifts Power from the seat of control of Will power, the solar plexus, to the seat of Love power in the head. We doubly harness the subconscious, the hands have its attention, then we turn it loose as Love. All of the Power being released goes forth as Love, from the heart center. We then harness the subconscious under Love’s control. The third step: Take several deep breaths to surrender and connect. Say, "I now inhale the Illumination of the Almighty. I now inhale the Inspiration of the All-Wise, of the All-Love. I am now inhaling the Breath of God." This is the conduction rod to lift us into the Heart of the Silence. The fourth step: Have an idea of God that is so great that it just takes all of your attention, a supreme idea, such as: "I am now perfect, whole and complete." See the solar plexus as a ball of fire that is radiating through every part of the body. The fifth step: Picture a gorgeous sunset. Try to see something that is invisible. Edna Lister likes the idea of seven great universes, galaxies, each having solar systems like ours. She also sees seven great physical suns and seven great spiritual suns, of which our sun is the heart. Watch, seek and see this spiritual sun. This idea is great enough to intrigue the subconscious and all our attention, emotions and imagination to the point where we will build the picture of our idea. The sixth step is Praise and Devotion: Praise God that He is, that He is all the Mind there is, that He holds the world in the hollow of His hands, that He is the great invisible, irresistible all-Glory, that He is the repository of all hidden Wisdom, that He holds our lives in His hands, that He is the Source of all revelations, and has held us from the beginning. You get into the Heart of God and the Silence by praise and devotion. Read Psalms 33 and 34. Praise Him because He is the Heart of this radiant Light. Praise Him because the Power He releases through you can melt and dissolve every imperfection. Praise Him for the Power to hold up any number of people, for the Light and Love that pours out upon them. Praise Him that you can hold up the world. Lift, and lift, and lift, and praise Him always. As you praise God, you will extend your consciousness, and have the sense of leaving the earth. Enter the Silence once this way, and you will hunger and thirst for it evermore.
Do not ask to be lifted, but thank God that you are lifted into the Heart of the Fire, and that He has armored you with Light. Praise Him continually because He is perfect, and again tell Him that He is perfect. We thank Him that Power has recharged us with Power, and that He has given to us the task to release Power throughout the world. The seventh step: When you have finished praising until you are completely in the Heart of the Silence, turn your hands upright and begin your treatment. Do not treat yourself, but lift others into the Silence to treat. Surround them with Pillars of Fire, and a Wall of Love. See Love permeating them all, and fill their bodies with Light. Have the sense of laying hands over their eyes, hearts, etc. The eighth step: Speak the Word for them, in the name of the Master, and radiate it out over the whole world. "Release the Power of Love through me, to go forth to those who are crying for help." Your closing declaration is, "These words are the Spirit of Life. These words are Spirit and they are Life. Light now establishes these words. These words are now finished in the kingdom and they shall become visible. Let them come to pass. Let them be established and come into manifestation. Let these words go forth and do the work." The word "let" releases the Power. The ninth step: End treating, and thank and praise God for increasing your capacity to love, etc. Thank Him that the Power of Love has already gone forth. Thank Him that you can be as the leper named in the Bible, and can go your way rejoicing, that you are willing to surrender to service, that you are His mouthpiece and that He establishes your words forever. There is no special point at which to ask God for anything for ourselves. We thank God that we already have it. We may sometimes ask God specially for what we desire. Declare that you have already received what you want, the desire of your heart. Doing this
in an orderly manner will enable us to stay in the Silence
all the time, no longer body-conscious, but forgetting the outer world.
If we remain in the Silence all day, we cannot falter or fail. Get
on the Receiving End of Life "Before you called, I answered you." This moment in our lives was finished in Divine Mind, millions of years ago, and only our ideas that it was not, has held it back. Thank God in this moment for the finished kingdom of perfection, which is ours, which has always been pure, glorious and complete. We bring in more situations, more miracles to be completed in the hour. We declare that they are finished and that they shall come forth and shine. Our minds and hearts are open, ready to receive that which is our own. It is so, and it shall "come to pass" as spoken. We put up our hands to pray because we release Love through the heart center. Put up your hands and talk to God: Tell Him who you are and ask Him all about what He is using you to do. Leave your desires in God’s hands. With hands held up high, say, "Let my very own appear." Love is a Power, not a sentiment. We first experience Love through emotions and desires, which are subject to the corruption of self and negative experiences. Yet we must send Love forth in purity, so we lay our Desires upon an altar for purification. When we release ourselves in surrender to the Power, we may release many other people and their desires. We release Love, and it goes forth into the world as a vibration and a Substance, complete in seven grades. Love goes forth on the wings of Light, and it flows out definitely through our hands, under the Law of Correspondence, "As above, so below." We create the forms of our "added things" with the Substance that comes back to us. What we get in our lives is what we have created. "Let Love go forth through every situation. Let it go through every room in every home in the city." The Sacrificial Fires, which we light this way, are limitless in their Power to heal.
Every moment of every hour is a miracle, and Light, as breath, renews our bodies continually. We must praise God for this so that our bodies will build themselves into beauty and youth. In treating, Light must melt, dissolve and absorb the whole situation. First we hold up the problem we are working on, all family, all friends, and lift them up on a cloud. Above the clouds, the sun is shining, although it may be cold and gray below. We lift up every limitation. We are our own creators, and build our own environment. Love goes forth as perfect Substance, but since it has traveled around the earth, it may return to us in a different, more condensed form, a lower rate of vibration. Yet it is still radiant Light, for all of the invisible atomic Substance in the universe is lifesparks of Light, through which Love travels faster than the speed of light. Send your consciousness to the sun center of Light. Hold your hands up high and ask to be purified. We must always have a song of praise in our hearts. Our praise invokes a great power. Praise lifts and clothes us in a cloak of glory. The Psalmist said, "Never have I seen the seed of the righteous begging bread." Read Psalms 33 and 34, for unequaled praise. We do not use enough dynamic praise from a full heart. Praise is the commonest form of gratitude, even among men. If we praise God, we will have no difficulty in praising other people or situations. Give praise for the things that are visible and those that are still invisible. We should use our tongue to give praise, not to condemn. Praise everything, even an injury or a growth. Declare that it consists of perfectly beautiful Substance, but that Light must dissolve it to take on a higher form. A headache can be a crown of glory, if you declare it so. Say that it is "beautiful, wonderful. This is God’s own perfect headache, made of perfect Substance." As Creator gods, we have misused the Divine Power and Substance, and have created what we do not like. We must be masters of life, conquerors of life, lifting and creating perfection. We are gods, making, not gods in the making, and are now learning to create perfect things. As we send forth praise, the Love Substance returns to us, so expanded that it actually forms an invisible container, which Love fills. If we want a new car, for instance, we work with this Substance. Praise extends the walls of the workroom, and Love returns to fill the room. If we do not praise enough, we might not have a place for the Love that returns! We should praise that God has sent it back, forming what we desire, and that we may have it now. Praise expands the walls of the workshop, and keeps the wheels running. Love returns and condenses into the room until it is nearly visible. The whole world is suffering acutely from lack of Love. Praise God that He has made conditions tough. This gives us stamina, grit, determination. The challenge that fairly makes us gasp will give us that "extra something" that puts us over the top, since it gives us the punch we need. Immovable and untouchable Spirit cannot ache. Only the body has sensation, and the mind must agree before it has even that. Don’t be intolerant. Thank God even for pain.
Desire is the Creator. Love is the Conqueror. Praise is the Shortcut. When you ask God to open your heart, mind and purpose you must have a definite intense desire to create perfection in your life. Review your life to find what your desires really are. Lift up your desires to purify them and make them universal. To come into outer perfection, they must be unselfish. Desire the great good, not for yourself or loved ones alone, but for all humanity. A desire to help anyone is the Spirit of God in you seeking expression. You can ask for money, if you want to use it to give better service to humanity. You must desire that God pours abundance out upon those you wish to help, according to His will, His method, His agents. We must have a fervent, burning desire. Desire is the God-given fundamental Creative Impulse within each individualized manifestation of God as a living soul. Praise is the most marvelous shortcut. Praise, so that "all these things shall be added to you," from the outside by that marvelous, magnificent, glorious, irresistible Power of Love. If you are up against an urgent need, you must conquer that outside "circumstance." Our attitude should be, "I must conquer." Our ideas of separation, lack and limitation stand between us and our instantaneous miracles. The only way to bring a miracle into being is to keep the mind’s eye absolutely single upon perfection, recognizing only what is perfect, and we cannot do that while we think that we must demonstrate supply, health, etc. We can achieve only when the driving necessity from within us is to conquer. Praise is the only thing that keeps our mind clear. Through steadfastly praising for ten minutes, we can conquer any blow life may offer. The world is divided into four classes: The Knowers are born knowing who they are, what they want and where they are going. Born with desire flaming, they achieve. The Hopers often display lugubrious countenances, sometimes joyous, usually sweet. Being a Hoper is different from "hope" itself. The Wishers are spineless leaners, cheerful and joyous. Often smiling, they say, "I wish I could do as you do." This will never work. The Wanters are willful, selfish, greedy, grasping, which changes Desire into to wanting and taking without earning. This is disastrous. We must purify the Desire first and say, "Let it come to me." Then we give praise and love. We thank God that we have it now, and it will come. Hoping, wishing and wanting, when purified, make the right Desire. As our Desire burns brightly, as our praise goes forth, this burning Torch of Desire increases in size, and radiates as a whirling mass of scintillating Light around us. We cannot achieve complete success unless we Desire to create perfection. To conquer or express, the burning Flame of Desire must be intensely, radiantly active.
Imagination is the "kingly faculty." The trend of our lives depends on these pictures, what our creations will look like, how successful our married life or business will be. Imagination determines the "how" of our lives. If we build the right pictures of success and achievement, in the right way, we needn’t worry, we can’t fail to triumph. If we become discouraged and give up, voice the wail of the fainthearted quitter, we will never succeed. We should not pity ourselves. To be where we are is a privilege. God is sending us to school and we must reach the goal to graduate. We all must accept and conquer someday, so we might as well do it now. God puts us where we are to conquer, to express this inner ability, which we have not yet expressed. God has put us where life has made things easy for us to conquer. We should build pictures of ourselves conquering, to conquer. Imagination is our kingly faculty, but we must direct and control it through mind. Mind is a vibration, and is also an essence. The essence of Mind permeates everything, such as walls, etc. Our brain cells are a receiving set for these vibrations. One man said that the brain secretes thought, and he was right. We can go wrong in only three places, the thoughts we hold that are negative, the negative emotions we hold, and the negative pictures we build. A person who overeats wrongly visualizes food first. It takes a real man or woman to hold their peace, to control themselves always. We should check daily to see what kind of picture we are building, to pour Love out upon what we have been dreaming of or picturing. Praise increases the size of our workshop. Desire ignites Substance into radiant activity. Imagination builds a picture and flashes this against the inner sensorium of the brain. Imagination builds, in this invisible Substance, a Form as definite and perfect as we could build it with our carpenter’s tools. We create the invisible form of the thing we desire, so we must build a form that will hold Substance, and keep on filling the form. We create and destroy, God doesn’t do it. Desire is an activity, and the activity of the spoken Word condenses Substance into form. When we no longer have fear or doubt in our heart, are no longer able to think a negative thought, we won’t need to bother about Imagination. Until we are Imagination-perfect, we must watch our pictures. If we mix our pictures, the Substance will ooze from the right one. See everything perfect just before going to sleep. At night, just before dropping off to sleep, picture your desires, and as the last thing, flash these pictures against the screen to see if they are perfect as you want them, for instance, lots of money on hand, etc. Picture work piled up to accomplish, see the cash register full and overflowing with the outer returns (money). Do not go to sleep seeing it empty. If someone owes you money, see his wallet overflowing with money, more clothes and more prosperity than he can handle, because what you give to him in thought, will return to you. We can make forms of either what we want or what we do not want. What we give the most time and attention to, is what we will make and what will return to us. See a perfect picture of what you want, but give it to someone else, see someone else having it. Make your idea universal. Flash a perfect picture of what you desire, but always give the Substance of the thing to the other fellow. He may not want it – no matter. If you want a car, say, "The whole world has cars." If someone wants to give you anything, always say, "If you want to give it to me, yes." Never turn anything down, but you must give away the thing you really need. Just before going to sleep, flash this picture against the inner sensorium of the brain, to make absolutely certain that it is perfect. Be sure that what you do want is perfect in your blueprint, not the blueprint of what you don’t want, about which you have been thinking all day. The blueprint you draw in the brain will reflect itself out here in the world. We must harness Imagination and get it to working for us. If we have started to build the wrong pictures, we must tear them out again, or the subconscious mind, which acts like a clock that has been set, will go right on reproducing them in our lives. Raise your hands and send the Power of Love forth to lift your pictures in Imagination, then praise God that this Love Substance is returning to you. Praise Him for everything you have and have not, which increases the size of your workshop, and brings results more rapidly. Keep your burning Desire perfect, complete and glowing. You must Desire to do perfectly the thing you are doing, or for perfection for someone else. Then the Imagination, the architect, the construction engineer, must harness and control it, to build what you do want. Picture the Master on the Mount of Transfiguration, put your hands in his, and send forth Love. Now lift, lift, lift up your difficulty, the thing or person. Know with absolute perfection that your eyes shall be opened, and your ears shall be unstopped. Imagination shall be harnessed from this day forth, working constructively as a protecting pillar of fire about all.
Love is the highway and the conqueror. Praise without ceasing is the shortcut. Desire is the creator, and must be stirring and expectant. Imagination is the builder of forms. The spoken Word condenses Substance into outer form, but does not stop the activity of the lifesparks. We must give the equivalent, in Love, of the thing we want, yet we must keep the balance. We must release the invisible Love Substance as its equivalent, yet we may not grasp, for this unbalances the world. When we have reached the point of being conscious of what we are doing, we must maintain careful watch over our spoken Word. God gives us a new name for overcoming at a certain period of Initiation: "To him who overcomes I will give . . . a new name" (Revelation 2:17). Yet we can get this name only by accepting and assuming responsibility. The only way to make our Word complete and established now, is to give a universal reason for the release of the Power, since a personal reason is not enough. The Power alone will not work, but if we will assume responsibility, nothing limits the Power we can release. Then we cannot find enough people or situations or circumstances or things, to lift and pour life upon, because through our lifting, the greater the load, the sooner we have our new name and the last name and the Power. Many teachers have earned the right to the new name, and in their joy at being given it, they have used it constantly, thinking it was theirs to use forever. However, this is one thing that we must use only under direct command, until the teacher reaches the point where he or she has earned the right to, and can, command all the Power the name releases. Everything comes in tests of three, such as "purity of heart, mind and purpose," etc. We must have selfless love and loyalty to Principle, while we harness ourselves to a universal reason for everything. For instance, we ask for other people, then thank God that He has already given it to us. Thus, we will never get tied up selfishly. Every word we utter creates something, after its degree and kind. Every word we utter reacts and returns to us, increased and magnified. It adds to itself and goes around the earth. It returns and waits for us like a dark cloud or light. We get back everything it collects, every bit of it. We must then lift it and change it by love. We must take the responsibility for our spoken Word. If a "dweller on the threshold" is waiting there for us, we must lift it up, instantly. (The "dweller on the threshold" is the sum of all of our taints.) We instantly must pour forth enough love to neutralize it. For instance, if you have a refractory child, do not scold and berate him, but say, "You are a wonderful child. Love armors you in love, and nothing inimical can happen to you." If your daughter is seeing a youth to whom you object, do not arbitrarily forbid her to see him, but say something like, "Since you are going with this boy, you must see something good in him, or you wouldn’t love him, because sometimes the ones who do wrong are the most lovable ones." If your son is keeping bad company, take the same line with him, because he loves the lovableness of these undesirable ones. He gets something of love from them that he doesn’t get from those at home. He is satisfying his desire to have someone appreciate him. Pour out enough appreciation, declare that these questionable friends are perfect and complete, and ask him to help you lift them up. Say, "I am so glad you are lending Light to the darkness. We will lift him up. We will form a Pillar of Fire around him (or them), which will make him perfect, too." Keep on lifting, and keep on pouring out love. The word goes forth and multiplies, so we should watch our idle words. Avoid slang. "I am, I can, I will, I do": These phrases have their time and place. Say, "I can do it." Sometimes we say, "I know I can do it," but "I am now doing it" is better. Say, "I will" very seldom, for "will" scatters the vibration. Get the "hoper" and "wisher" to say, "I do." "I’ll try" is the subconscious mind’s pet phrase, is a little sophistry. We are always living in the Eternal Now, with no future nor past. We want the real thing now! The thought that maybe God doesn’t want me to have it now is the root and branch of lack. Realize that you now have it in the invisible, "Let it become visible. This is God’s perfect hour of fulfillment for me. This is God’s perfect will for me and now is God’s perfect time." Now is the only time we need to recognize. We are ready at any given moment, to manifest the thing we can see. "This is God’s perfect time to have love come forth to me. Now is the perfect time for all of God’s good things to come to me." "Now" is the greatest little word we can grasp. Say, "I am perfect, whole and complete in Spirit, now. I am now expressing all of this now." There is no time, no space, no limit, no letting go. Law protects us if our desire is unselfish. Remain impersonal, unselfish, willing and open, want it for all, keep on lifting, lift, lift, and lift all we can. Even if we are dead wrong about "it," if we are also holding the desire up for love to be poured out upon it, it will come to us in the right way. If we hold it up in the right way, the Law, itself, will protect us. "It shall come to pass," and "it came to pass," are the two halves of a perfect whole. Finally we must say, "Let it become visible. Let it come forth. Let it be made flesh and blood. Let this perfection manifest." If you always say, "It shall come to pass," you will always be able to say later, "and it came to pass as spoken." You could cure colitis by seeing the body as the temple of the Living God and every organ filled with life, using the words, "and it came to pass as spoken." Check your idle words. Have I poured out enough love today? Have I praised enough? Have I kept my desire burning today? Have my pictures been perfect today? Have my spoken words been perfect, and what I want? If I cannot say "yes," I must pour forth more love, send forth more praise, hold up my hands until I am enfolded into the Light, until my desire burns, until I see everything as perfect, and then say, "Let this perfection manifest." Since practice brings perfection, practice, practice, practice, practice! It gives us the ability to have strong days when we do pour forth enough love, and our spoken words will come to pass, for they cannot help it.
When we get rid of the limitations, we will see why we could not manifest miracles. Love is the Fire that consumes all obstacles. If anything in our lives has grieved us, pour love upon it all to cleanse every old emotion, negative thought or picture that has built a subconscious form. Open the closed doors of the past. We can’t close the door, repress or ignore, and get rid of the old. If we still see someone doing something to us, we still have a closed door that we must open. We have an affinity for anything that annoys us, and we must clear it out. Do not use Law mentally — use it spiritually. Love will do it. Love makes the Law perfect. If we are unable to pour out enough Love to neutralize the situation, we will fail. Until we fill people with love, Divine Love cannot get past our criticism. We should increase our capacity to love, our devotion to service, and lose the Power to behold evil. Then we will look at the other fellow, know that we are responsible for him, pour out love upon him and help him to become perfect. Open the doors farther back into the past and pour love back over that line to make it perfect. Hold up those in the flesh, and those who have passed. God is. The Power is working. It is not I, but the Father through me who does the work. As we lend ourselves willingly to His Power, it flows through us and goes forth into manifestation. This Power goes forth for you, through you and as you. This love melts crystallization and brings that which it touches into completeness and perfection. We lift all old emotions up. "You are the Life of God. You are filled with ease and comfort, and so shall it manifest." Open yourselves definitely to greater Illumination, seek to reach into the Heart of God further, for revelation. It is the truth that the tablets of the hidden treasure in Egypt have been opened, and revelations are being allowed to come forth. We must understand that Power is automatically released with inspired revelations, which upsets the world. Ask to be a purified instrument, so that you may release enough Power to clean up the government, the dark places, and hold up everybody you see and come to, because the Power goes forth through you and it will return to you, but you must send it forth with a universal reason for it. Everyone, anyone, anywhere, can lift the world. If we build universal pictures, we can release the world. Part of the time we do not shine, and that’s why we do not get what we want. We should leave a cloud of love in every place we go, even if only walking through a store. Spray everyone with love perfume, since it lifts people. Be indrawn into the heart of this Power, higher and ever higher into the Heart of the Fire, for only in the Heart of the Fire can we stand steadfast, be worth what we desire to be worth in the service of God.
To progress and have successful results, we must hold up our desires every night and morning, to have them purified, cleansed and perfected. Jesus knew who he was when he came to earth. He became a teacher at age twelve, and overcame the three great temptations (the misuse of Substance, Knowledge and Power) at age thirty. Jesus walked and talked with God, was a great scientist, the greatest philosopher of the ages, the great physician, the greatest mystic the world ever had. He was developed as an all-around person, and every bit of him expressed as a Son of God. "The works that I do and greater shall ye do, and greater works than these." Do we believe this? Our acceptance of this will determine what our lives are going to be this next year. Why? Because today, the Power released is greater. Just as we had then the hard tallow candle and the rushlight, and now the electric light, so, too, we have greater Power to release through this brain equipment, if each and all would use the Power they have. To be cured of any disease, the patient must be relieved of the idea behind the manifestation. Once you cure a person of the idea of the disease, it works out into the outer form as perfect. We must be cured of the idea. The instant we cure the idea, the body slips back into place. The first time the Word is spoken, the work is done, the healing has gone forth and health is established. It is finished on the inner. Renounce the old things of the past. After we have lifted them up, they enter no more. Keep your eyes fixed on the perfect, by the most strenuous effort. You could add health, abundance, love, social life, success in business, "all things else." These come in proportion to the effort put forth, but you must obey the fundamental Laws. Love is the conqueror. Love is irresistible, is invincible, is complete, and we must send out this Love on the wings of Joy, twenty-four hours a day. Your heart must be a garden of praise, a paean of thanksgiving, just "because," backed up by twenty-four hours of praise a day. Joyous praise is the shortcut to all miracles. If needed in a hurry, pour forth enough praise and it will come to you in a hurry. Love determines the amount, praise determines the time elapsed, and both must be used to be complete. Praise that you have cut down the time until things happen, right now. Desire is a Creative Flame. We must desire to express more of God, and keep our flame burning eagerly all the time, to fill the form and increase what is there. Imagination determines the form the miracle will take. If it is not perfect, our pictures are not perfect, square and complete. Then the spoken word: "Judge not lest ye be judged." Every word judges us. With every thought we hold, we create something. The emotions we send forth create for us. What are we sending forth? We are responsible for our own lives. The secret of success, which lies within each of us, is the ability to stand up, despite what comes into our lives, and accept it as our own creation. We look neither right nor left, nor to family or friend to see where it came from, but take it as our own responsibility. That will determine success. Success consists in the ability to push a little harder, think a little faster, and smile a lot more than the rest of the world. Failure consists in the ability to run, find a corner to think it over, to lie down and cry when setbacks hit us. Success consists in standing alone, never whining, crying, or asking favors, but pushing, loving and praising. That gives us the ability to push harder, think faster and smile more. Lift up, and keep on lifting. If we do these three things, nothing can hold us down. Ask in faith from Christ Jesus. It is yours, and you have it in your hand. Then praise that he has already given you what you asked for, adding, "Let it come to pass. Let it become visible. Let it come into complete visibility. Let this heart beat in harmony with the Heart of God. Let this business send forth such service that it draws unto itself its own." Obey these instructions in seeking the kingdom, and you don’t need to worry, for you are then in the kingdom. Give, give, give! Lift, lift, lift! Love, love, love! We cannot pour out too much love on any day, any occasion or situation. We are always progressing upward. The more we pour out, the more our capacity increases, and the more we will find upon which to pour out more love. The great and definite Law is, "Love is the fulfilling of the Law." Exercise your ability to expand and completely surrender to the Power of Love itself. The message of the mustard seed is surrender. The law of the lily is to grow today, to use everything in our lives today as if it were to be the last day of our lives. Live each hour this way, and your days will be more perfect. Praise God, praise each other, praise everything always. Cure the idea. Say, "It is good. My faith, surrendered completely to the Power, makes it manifest now, at once!" At night, look over your day, see if you poured out enough love every second of it on everybody and everything, every situation and condition. Pour more love through the past. Take on your neighbor’s share, to pour out enough love to create what you need to manifest in the visible tomorrow. Then praise God. Has your desire been constructive all day? What about the imagination pictures you built today? Look well to your pictures. Pour out love and praise. Flash pictures against the screen in your mind. What about the spoken word? Have you sent forth the word in love today? How about irritation? Entertain no idle words or thoughts. Have you seen everyone perfectly perfect today? You must see them that way. Declare them perfect, and the Law brings it to pass.
The Lord’s Prayer is perfect, covering each phase of life and every need. The need of the now is the predominating idea. Yet what does God get out of it? The seed is glorified in the flower. Everything the Father has works to our infinite benefit, available in limitless supply. Yet God is glorified in our completeness and perfection. Anyone who needs anything, "Let him ask of the Father." Prayer is the only way out of a confused condition. Under the Law of Forgiveness, a vicious circle is broken, and Light destroys only the evil. Prayer lifts all that comes to you. Your life is only an expansion of "you," an extension of your consciousness. An internal combustion engine uses gas, a steam engine uses steam, an electric motor uses electricity as power. God has designed our bodies to burn the fuel of spiritual energy, cosmic rays! If you try to use the "world energy" of human emotions, your vigor is gone! The motive power of a "wicked, stiff-necked generation" is selfishness and greed, which produces only stiff necks. Spiritual Power has a refined force, potency and power. Scripture says that the "Spirit of God created them," and Elijah saved a boy when he "breathed into him health of life." We must return to the spiritual filling station for more life! Our refill must be steady, not spasmodic. We must keep our fuel tanks full, so we fill up every night with the right kind of Power. "A double minded man is unstable." What about "minute-minded men?" We must keep our feed line up to refined Power. Fasting is the discontinuance of cheap mental and emotional fuels, which casts us into a "den of thieves" of energy. Going without food makes the body more "sensitive." Therefore, negativity will seize the body if we are mentally and emotionally negative before we start. We must fast from negatives and whatever has robbed us of our innate divinity. Prayer is the application of Divine Principle. Prayer is to the servant of Divine Principle what practice is to a musician. First, we must surrender in devotion, which is a process of sublimation, a process of making the self perfect. A successful musician must practice constantly, so we know that to be successful in prayer, we must "pray without ceasing." The urge to prayer started in the deepest longings of humanity’s nature. Prayer releases the hidden, inner manna. A soul making a prayer is like a musician playing a musical instrument. We must overlook the problem, move into the Fourth Dimension, and see God. The ancients believed that the gods loved prayers fit to pull the answer down. We say, "God here I am! I’m ready!" People have too many "little gods" in the way. Ordinary prayer is like going begging every time we want something! At the end of a day, a beggar has only small change to show for his effort. We need more than nickels, dimes and quarters in prayer. Someone told a woman that "There is no hope, only God can save you." She said, "Oh! Has it come to that?" My portion is all that the Father has available now, upon which I may draw. Say the Lord’s Prayer through once, without letting go of God-consciousness, and you will receive complete Illumination. Prayer is the magic, and prayer is your luck. Prayer gives you the will to stand still long enough to "let" the Power move forth and create. Wisdom and strength belong to the brave heart. Declare that all delay is good, and a greater door will open.
Aspiration is an awakened desire toward God, good and perfection. Communion implies sending and receiving, receiving and sending. We give and receive during communion. Words represent ideas and thoughts. Thought is the medium between the idea and the word. The thought must be of the Truth of Reality, which means realization and recognition. Develop the habit of right thinking, and you’ll always speak the right words. "Every man’s words become his burden," so make your words as buoyant as a balloon. Prayer can move or remove mountains when you fast from habits of negative thinking and using negative words. Opinions distort vision, like looking through dirty glass. Faith cleanses the glass into perfection.
Prayer is a state of being, communion, devotion, the intelligent desire to communicate with our Father-Mother God. We pray with treatments, asking and receiving. We can give treatments while we are sitting, standing or lying down, by releasing Power and lifting, but we lift our hands to God when we ask. We receive from God after we have praised to express our thankfulness and gratitude. Why do we pray at all? The Law is, "Give and you shall receive." If no current stirs the water, it becomes stagnant. A becalmed ship is worthless. Becalmed souls are worthless to themselves and world. When a ship spreads its sails, it slips swiftly, smoothly through the water. If even one sail is gone, the ship drifts off-course. When you spread the wrong sails, life’s winds toss the ship around. A ship’s captain knows every sail and what it will do. We have three sets of foundation sails on each side to balance our Faithfulness and Steadfastness, our Hope and Patience, our Gracious Giving and Receiving. Our "heart sails" include Purity and Sacrifice, Desires and Compassion, Meekness and Courage. The imagination sails are Pictures and Tolerance, Justice and Right, Truth and Appreciation. The top sail is Love.
Gratitude is a soul quality. Joy is a heart quality. Gratitude increases Joy’s fervency, and keeps Desire burning brightly. Joy releases ardor. Faith is the line over which Spiritual Substance travels. Joy’s depth is determined by its fervency. Gratitude’s depth is determined by the depth of Joy. Faith’s Power is determined by gratitude’s depth. All three determine our success, which equals our steadfastness of purpose.
Prayer is your highest Desire to know God. It is your greatest idea of success. To be kindly is the finest prayer you can make. To be sweet is prayer incense going up to the Father. To be compassionate is the prayer of the Master. To be just is the prayer of the Judge. To be tender is the Mother’s prayer. To be understanding is the prayer of the Father. Every virtue we express is a fine prayer, ascending our souls into heaven. Every action in love is prayer of glory. Every movement of joy sent forth to the Realms of Light is prayer. Let us then spend another shining new hour a day in real Prayer. Anyone can smile, praise, sing, hum or whistle for an hour a day. It does not need be a continuous hour. It can be for moments, like sun breaking through the clouds. Prayer is the expression of the soul’s delight in obedience to Law. It is the soul’s glory in its own high estate, and knowing that its Source is forever drawing it home and into its own Light.
The first step in prayer, in the face of a problem, is Awareness that we are in the Kingdom of Heaven right now, Recognition that we are the best servant God has in this place, and Surrender to all the Power of God, for it to use us, right here, right now. We begin by lifting our self to surrender, and lifting everything that comes. The second step is Visualization of perfection and the decree: "Let thy Power move forth. Let the Light go forth." Then we offer praise and words of gratitude that God has done it. "My words shall go out and accomplish that whereunto they are sent, and shall return to me fulfilled." Prayer is gratitude and praise, a powerful treatment, overcoming darkness and changing it into Light. God is everywhere evenly present. We go to the Silence to see and hear God. You can enter the Silence anywhere. You cannot hear God with your ears, but you can listen with your brain cells. The Silence is the uttermost stillness that earth can conceive. To enter the Silence is to enter a state of heaven-consciousness. You can enter the Silence to hear and use the Mystic Eye of God to see. You enter the Silence to hear the vibration of the Voice of God, and interpret it into symbols to see, or words to hear.
Substance is divided into seven types. One-seventh was used for each Day of Creation: Cells, molecules, atoms, etc. We form pictures, good or bad, to fill molds from the third dimension atomic Substance. We may not use a brush, but Imagination paints the form in atomic Substance, just as definitely as if it were paint applied to canvas. So we, with our creative faculties, paint pictures according to our desires. We paint a picture of the Master as he appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration standing before the alcoholic we wish to heal. We paint this picture in invisible atomic Substance until it is complete. When the person is tempted to drink (or steal, curse or act in anger), the Master himself sends a ray of Light that vitalizes the mold and says, "No, Son" (or Daughter), and touches the person. Declare that the individual’s desires are lifted to seek God instead. Take invisible Substance and build a pair of gloves of Light that reach to his elbows, declaring that these gloves cannot pick up any harmful thing. Place shoes of Light upon his feet ("I walk in the paths of righteousness and peace"). Declare that he is now satisfied with the spiritual waters from above. "I am lifted up and I do lift everyone and everything on my lines."
We must enter the Silence with an idea that involves both our imagination and subconscious mind. Answers come not because we ask questions, but the poise and calm of the Silence reflect them upon our mirror-like brain cells, which is why ascending the physical cells, nerves and glands is so important. Contemplate the Altars of God and the Universe from a cloud of Light. Use a hymn or image of something beautiful to enter the High Place. You can imagine all the places in heaven, but you cannot imagine God. The first step is to look up and praise God. The praise you offer rises to His Altars, and returns to you as the Substance of your creations. So the Golden Silence is a prayer. The second step is giving. Lift the people on your lines. Let the Light push all darkness ahead of you. As you lift your hands, it starts a wave vibration in the etheric currents, and the Guards then pour Light into the one for whom you prayed. Soul Ascension, yours and theirs, comes only through prayer. The third step is the let stage: "Father, let there be Light, let there be health, let there be abundance, etc." When you can think of no one and nothing else to lift, you have reached the outer fringe of the Golden Silence. Then you praise God again. Stand still. Watch and you will know the ecstasy. Your Guards may conduct you before an Altar or through a Temple, and finally, Illumination comes. You are never the same again. Desire for prayer is the desire to commune with God. Prepare the way before you enter the Silence. Circle your house with Divine Fire, the White Light of the Christ. Circle the room, your chair and finally yourself, so nothing will disturb you. The path you build always leads to the same Altar. Jesus never left, but ascended, and he still walks earth today. Christ consciousness is the New Age. Life has three kindergarten stages: First you hear about it, then you talk about it, then you think about it. Such people are not ready to become the Law, because they have nothing yet to ascend on. When they finally begin to "try," their efforts will bring them the experiences they need. It isn’t wacky to see and hear. You must use your mental faculties to enter the mental and spiritual anterooms of the Silence. Hold yourself high in consciousness, at the Higher Creative Center, and be a threefold being to maintain contact through practice of the Presence of God. Zip yourself into a suit of Light before you sleep, to maintain and add to the body’s vitality.
An inner Altar is descended into every room in which a person prays. Two Guards, who stand behind you for twenty-four hours, build a vibration in the chair you use for prayer. It is your duty to plan to be used completely by all the Power in prayer. Search your soul, your self for anything that is unlike God and bring it as gifts to the Altar for lifting, or if having conquered it, in gratitude before the Altar. A prayer is worth only what you give in it. Prayer is a form of praise and is also a form of confession. Many people today do not believe in confession, which is a form of cleansing self, although psychiatry and the Church have used it. An oral confession before the inner High Altar convinces the subconscious mind that we are out to conquer self, because witnesses are in the inner group before the High Altars. This digging out of self through confession aloud before an Altar, is the only way that you can swiftly contact the Power above. It is your direct means of opening the door and allows you to repent. To repent means to go up into the High Place. If you cannot feel the Power when you pray, you have a block of self to clean up. This is the best opportunity to find it. Some have more layers of blockades than others. No one is in a position to criticize another’s prayers. Our goal is God. We must learn to act like the Master, and to speak the Word like the Master. We must become word-conscious so that we become soul-conscious. If you have difficulty in prayer, you are unconsciously having difficulty in your everyday statements, using negative terms and idle words, for your words are reflections of your thoughts and emotions. We practice speaking aloud to God, knowing that He can hear us. If you feel self-conscious on a high vibration, watch out! It is very much like practicing the piano for a week, then going for a lesson. You have been making mistakes, sliding over them, but the teacher here is God. Promises
Given What have I asked for? Everyone has a goal but seeing it is necessary. The answer to prayer condenses little by little to the one who visualizes it. To stimulate the White Light of the Christ, you must have a burning desire to be One with God, keep your imagination constantly vivid, and act as if you already have it. Have I just bombarded God with petitions? You can pray fervently for three hours a day, but if you’re lukewarm the other twenty-one, your neglect catches up with you. Pray only when praise, glory and joy fills your heart. Leave part of your consciousness with your Oversoul, which always kneels before an inner Altar. Declare, "Father, You are the Source of my life. Please fill my body with Thy Substance of atomic energy." So many people have asked selfishly for thousands of years that they have created a vast world debt of force, which someone must conquer and pay. How do you know that what you pray for is right for your Ascension, for your loved ones, neighbor or the world? Avoid making the wrong request. For example, demanding the money to pay bills is force, which pulls your consciousness down into the heavy world mind, and returns as accidents, delay and disappointment. Gratitude and praise return as abundant miracles. Your Father’s "good pleasure" is to give you what you need, so praise, glorify and thank God that you already have the funds you require. Do you want what you prayed for when it comes? So many people fret and fume on a teeter-totter faith in God’s answer to their prayer that they exhaust themselves. Put your plan on a cloud of Light and love it into being without fuss or worry. No matter how much you pray, all you can do is prepare the way for Power to use you to manifest your plan. Success comes when you have loved enough, and your plan’s power and glory haunts you. Those who "know better" than God may try to bypass Divine Law or take a shortcut to get what they want, but that method always costs more in the end. You can have your way every time, if it is God’s way. The
Glory The Power moves through when we accept everything that happens to us. If we aren’t in our own place, whose shoes could we fill? Predestination is the calling of the Christed ones. God has predestined us to be gods and each of us has a place! We may not like our own place because we have ourselves filled it with darkness. If we are not in our own place in Light, we have an underlying current of sorrow and grief without cause, which is the Oversoul telling us that we have not moved up by paying our debts. You cannot be lifted up and reach balance if you do not lift your family with you. You must tie your earth to your Heaven or become an iconoclast. God had to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah to explode the dark clouds of evil to lift them. God does not tear down anything unless building on it is impossible. The right way is to build, step by step, and unfold like a bud into full blossom. "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" depicts our standing with God, who we are, what God has endowed us with to use as our eternal decrees in our life’s expression. The first words, "All things work together for good" are the greatest. I think it pricks us hardest – it seems to me, after thirty-one years in this work, that our greatest stumbling block is to look into the face of utter destruction and darkness and declare it good. In Genesis, God declared it good and very good. These words set a line of demarcation between an irresponsible creature and the responsibility of the Creator. Yet we straddle this. If I could just paint the beauty of the world closed to the creature, yet open to the Creator. I am talking about the degree that you brought with you, the possibility that you can express. The
Flaming Sword When you need a miracle, read Hebrews 11. When you need assurance and confidence, read Psalm 91. Hebrews 11 forms the bulwark of Power behind anyone seeking help. It has the same effect in our lives as does tuning a certain radio station. It tunes our dial to a higher frequency and builds faith. We’d like to have miracles to fall into our laps by praying without acting, but Faith is Divine Activity, not passivity. Steadfast God-consciousness and constant prayer are the activities that back a miracle. We combine steadfastness and Unconquerable Faith in three ingredients: the seeker, the searcher and the finder. We must seek first the kingdom of God. Then we must search for truth, which can be intellectual or spiritual. God is both Personality and Principle. The intellectual approach to God as Principle, minus the love of Personality, is as cold as a dead fish. The intellectual type becomes nauseated by the emotional type who runs around saying, "Love, love, love." We need both. The finding involves growth of consciousness as you search, expansion of your horizons, ascension of soul. What you find is the beauty of God. You find a place where the angel with a flaming sword stands before the gate of your lost Paradise. Forgiveness The fifth breath breathes through the atoms of your whole body and that fifth breath is prana, the pure Breath of God. The atoms of your body are so constructed that it becomes only energy. The secret of healing is to let the new atomic Substance move into your atoms, and declare that it consumes poisons. When a minister gives a healing treatment under Divine Law and says, "Let Light consume darkness," it will consume anything, because it is the Consuming Fire. Light consumes darkness, and negative things. Say, "You are under Divine Law to consume only that which is darkness." Where have you placed your faith? In the Power of the original Substance to consume poisons, which do not dare to move into the body, but are lifted. Take care of your body, but use the atomic Substance of which it is made. You may use everything on the outside to the Glory of God, but you must cure yourself of the idea that anything has any power over the pure Power of God. The
Golden Silence Our Master taught us, "Let your Light so shine," and "if the Light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness?" We must discover the three steps into becoming the Light. First we begin with meditation, statements and prayer until we feel like praising and thanking God. We use this approach until we have opened the three Windows of Soul to Jerusalem, our "high place" of consciousness, where Saul spent three days. We must praise God and count our blessings. Second, we offer treatments for others and the world, giving of our overflow of Light because we are so full that we can’t help but give. We "speak the Word" and send forth the vibration. As we give the treatments, we "hear" the Voice, and the visions come. Finally, we "wait upon the Lord in the high place." We have not "gone" anywhere, but take the time to listen. We "let Light in" and give it time to settle into every cell of our body. The quality of our time and effort spent determines our results, if we obey! We come forth from the Silence to do the next thing next, using what we have, ignoring the outer. The
Golden Chalice The Elect, using the Faith and the Love of God only, without selfish interpretations, have released enough of God’s invisible Light and Power to create that which must appear in outer visibility. Those who have elected to demonstrate over physical needs are still having difficulties because they have not released enough Power for a 100 percent demonstration! Their prayers produce only 20 percent of a demonstration, so they must have recourse to doctors. Miraculous healing can come to the one who asks his brothers to add their prayers to his. A thousand or a hundred thousand praying together is better than for any to pray alone to demonstrate. Being unwilling to share with another is selfish, like putting oneself on a material level with the Publicans, who have no reward for their demonstrations. They want the outer credits, but have no healing. If you want miracles, then do not say, "I did this," but, "The Father has used me." This is a greater expression because it sends back instantly, in one great Light, the equivalent of all your past prayer power and the Light you have sent forth. Declare it "good," and it comes rolling back as compound interest accrued to you. Law is inevitable in its action, and is under the control of one who says, "Not I, but the Father, His Light goes forth to do the work. In that Light is His greatness performed through me. Your Power, which I call through me, is thoroughly inevitable and irresistible in its power to increase." So it is. Aspiration
and Prayer Prayer must be threefold. First it must be a devotional attitude toward Principle and Power greater than self. Second, you must turn imagination upward, extend it toward the universe and picture how small the portion is. Imagine this current of life flowing around earth. Visualizing something greater than earth means an awakening. Third, do not pray from inside your body. Why pray to a god inside the room? Expand to find God above! God must be great and have form! The universe is great and God fills the universe. Ascend into the magnificence of the universe! I like to feel that I pray to God before an Altar. A miracle is an acceleration of natural law that eliminates delay. We enter that place where we "see" and we make it manifest. Under prayer and burning desire, we set aside time and space, and Substance hastens into form. Expand yourself into a timeless, spaceless consciousness, and Law acts accordingly, instantly. Prayer:
The Soul’s Aspiration Aspiration means "to desire earnestly to do, to pursue something, to attain a goal." The first expression of life and the first movement in civilization must be an aspiration. We must aspire to attain any goal, and our conviction inevitably brings us to that goal. We can’t advance, achieve or express life without aspiration. Nor can we become any greater than the goal we aspire to, or go farther than the height of our desire. Without aspiration, one feels no need to do, but is filled with virtuously smug self-exaltation and self-satisfaction. Such a person is a square peg in a round hole, unhappy unless he can force everyone to do things his way. The soul’s aspiration is rooted in desire. Aspiration toward attaining a greater goal ignites the flame of desire. The body’s death begins when the soul’s aspiration dies. First we aspire to possess something, then we put enough flame in our desire to do what we must do. Prayer is the soul’s aspiration vocalized, in many stages of desire, beginning with the savage who worships a stone or a fetish. People pray in many ways, but valid prayer must be free of self. The psychological and metaphysical grades of prayer are usually demands on God – "I want, give me" – but "skull bumping" aspiration ascends no farther than your hair roots. At the intellectual level we find the "Christ is within me" type who has devoted himself to Principle, which is a valid approach to God, but is still demonstrating. He demonstrates the right behavior if God continues to answer his prayers. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t. "Ceiling bumper" prayers are nothing more than mental statements of Principle, Law or fact that contain no love, aspiration or devotion, yet we begin to see a goal greater than self. Next come the "cloud climbers," those who do see a goal greater than self. They devote themselves to Principle, so they climb the ladder to the clouds, one rung at a time. We need to know that someone is on the other end to hear our prayers. Belief in God as just Principle alone doesn’t open the floodgate of Light. Who can hunger for cold Principle? When we add Personality to our conception of God, we ascend the ladder of Light and Law to seek the Thrones above. Aspiration is a resurrection from the old to the new, born of a burning desire to know God as a Father. Aspiration unlocks the Gates of Light. To open the floodgates, we must seek and listen for the Master’s knock at our "door," the crown of our head. After we accept that our Father yearns over us, our aspiration becomes passion to become and to do, which brings us to the Love of God. Now we compose our prayers of joy and devotion to God as Personality. We yearn for God, the world, including family, friends and organizations. The Lord’s Prayer is our ensample of prayer for all ages that covers the great avenues of life. When we yearn for more truth, we step from resurrecting the old to ascending to the new, and it becomes a constant act. Yet no Ascension is possible without the "compound" of Joy and Love, a longing, devotional attitude toward God, who is that dependable Principle. The all-encompassing feminine Principle of Love is taking us home. Love is the Glory in your soul, as Joy is the energy in your body. Love is Light, the strongest element in the universe, yet so gossamer-light that we may bear it without feeling a burden. Yet emotions of grief, sorrow and self-pity taint Love with the weight of self, and self-pity is the heaviest burden in the world. We can misuse Love. For example, possessive mother love squeezes the loved one to death. We must add the Divine Principle of Action to the full Love of God to express Love in the outer. Joy is the great activating factor. Joy, Love and Wisdom are the Trinity from which all Laws manifest. Joy is Energy as Love in action, which fires our enthusiasm and makes us conquer worldly challenges. Love is Joy in action. Our prayers ascend to God’s Throne when we aspire to reach the Source of Light for our supply. Joy in action amalgamates our devotional love for God. Our aspiration and goal become one, to be an instrument to release Joy. We resurrect all good, forgetting the old as we balance aspiration with joyous prayer and love. Almighty Power returns over the line of devotional love we’ve built to God’s Throne, and we become Servants of all Power and Light, according to our physical capacity. We no longer measure our aspiration in prayer, which now partakes of the timeless, measureless quality of Unconquerable Faith. Faith is atomic Substance and Energy, the Holy Spirit’s transforming Power stepped down to use us because we have become sun centers of Light. We don’t think "selfish" or "unselfish," but become that limitless quality of Unconquerable Faith, "the Substance of things hoped for." Faith fills our mental body atoms, nourishing and sustaining physical cells to renew and recreate them. The Light goes before us as the Spirit of the Lord. The same Power that creates also can destroy form. Reach to the Source and stand when a challenger causes you butterflies! Declare him perfect, and that God moves through. Ascend! Almighty Power is the Holy Spirit, which answers all prayer from lowest to highest. Step into the Source of Supreme Light and limitless Power, and let it use you according to God’s perfect will. Joyous activity will fulfill your success and take you to your goal. Aspire greatly! Gifts
and Giving "Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." These verses contain three outstanding verbs: Ask, seek and knock. Scholars have interpreted them many ways, and no other words have been subject to greater misinterpretation. Ask, seek and knock are action verbs. As a scientist will tear down his formula to cooperate with other scientists and rebuild, so should we according to this pattern: Ask what? Seek where? Knock how? We can become unbalanced on these points. Escapists are afraid to ask, and others may pound so hard on heaven’s doors that they muddle things. Finding the center point of balance is difficult. Most people seek the world and its darkness rather than facing the Light. God gives us tremendous leeway, but can’t set aside Divine Law. He will say, "Child, you must pay your debts." This brings us to the point of action. We are accountable for all our thoughts and imaginings, which circle the world seven times and return to us. Negative people tune in our negativity, and we are responsible for lifting what they add. We can tune in others’ negative broadcasts, too. This "return" principle works for good when the thoughts are good. The whole universe operates under the Law of Forgiveness, which cleanses every taint. We’re breathing the same air today that our Cold War enemies breathed last night. "Forgive" means to "give for," and our privilege is to choose what we give. The heavenly Council above takes no cognizance of a family’s judgments of its members, for they have the soul records and know the whole truth. We cannot know how often another has knelt before God, asked forgiveness, and had his record wiped clean. How dare we declare someone a sinner, and charge a double debt, to him and ourselves? Jesus forgives sins, and we must too. Forgive your adversaries, stop seeing sin, and heal yourself of blaming. Ask the Father to cleanse you to love the person enough. When you’ve given enough love, they stop knocking you. Criticism is a gift when you know that you can’t receive anything but good gifts. Think of those special "sinners," who block your way, as gracious gifts from your heavenly Father. Look at them and mentally say, "I think you are wonderful." Criticism gives you a chance to give more love. You need not like what another does, but pour out enthusiastic forgiveness lavishly, instead of dribbling it from the teeth out just because it is Law. Keep your eyes on the Light and graciously lift all demands to make them into Light. Asking puts all this in action. Ask in a positive voice for new ways to expand. Jesus said "ask in my name believing." That is Law. Ask once and thank God graciously a thousand times in advance. Nothing happens unless you ask, believing you have it, and thanking opens the way to receptivity. Ask and receive graciously. Seeking finds forgiveness. Seek new and ingenious ways to make others more comfortable. Knocking opens the door to receiving. Knock with a velvet glove or a padded mallet, which is how the Master knocks, in inevitable, unwavering persistence. Desire is knocking, so open the door and say, "Come in, Father. I know you have already supplied it. Let it become visible." The Law is, "Give, and you will receive." Give enough love until you burst with compassion. Giving vitalizes everything! If another praises you, receive his praise graciously, thank God, and give Him the credit. Maintain a constant watchfulness over giving and receiving, to do great things. You need an eternally flaming desire to know more and to express God in serene action. Ascend into poise, peace, serenity, and patience. You won’t need peace or patience if you stand in poise, for you will have become Law. Open
Miracles Gossip, even in explanation, is illegal, and you must go to the Altar on your knees afterward. If you tell of someone’s diagnosis, go into detail about what doctors said, or say that it is incurable, you are looking at darkness. Darkness is force, and when one cannot handle the situation with love, one is flirting with darkness. When you consider only God in your relationship with the situation or person, you can handle it without using force. Move up. Hold your poise. Remember who you are. Never consider darkness. When we consider, discuss and build patterns of someone with disease, we encase the patient within it, and it takes days of work to loosen him. Just say, "He has a fever," and lift it, nothing more. If we know about the doctor, pray for him. Some sects deny disease, but we say, "Let it be made into Light. It is lifted, melted, dissolved and absorbed in the devouring Ray of the Mother." Do not listen to others’ prayers. Go "up and out" and release Power. What good is new information to you when you are not living up to the responsibility of that which has already been sent through? If you cannot control the Power moving through you, how can you double it safely? You can make a healing mold, but you set the pattern by your prayers. When someone prays for you, he builds a new rung on the ladder for you to climb. We must devote ourselves to prayer to touch the Thrones and release Power. The very height of your glory depends upon what you drag into the group. If you must gossip about disease, call a special meeting to do it, and the Father will make it legal. Let the one who brings in a mess for lifting be the last one to pray so that the rest of your prayers lift it and her through the Gates. After your prayers, make declarations that vitalize the world. Your
Life’s Practice: Ascension As Creators, we must open the windows of soul in our Higher Creative Center to see New Jerusalem. Daniel’s rivals in Babylon made a law that you couldn’t pray toward Jerusalem, yet despite his enemies, Daniel opened three windows to Jerusalem. He fell in love with God, and ascended until faith conquered him. Daniel looked up and loved God so much that the Holy Spirit filled the den. The hungry lions cowered in a corner, and he didn’t see lions. Love made them good little lions, who saw only Light while Daniel worshiped and loved God. Paul describes a perfect Ascension practice in his Letter to Thessalonians: Be at peace among yourselves. Warn those who are unruly. Comfort the fainthearted. Uphold the weak. Be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone. Always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophecies. Prove all things. Hold fast what is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. Your
Body Eternal We pray in five steps: 1), praise 2), pray 3) sing, 4) give treatments, 5) listen for God in the Golden Silence. Pray without ceasing. Praise without a moment’s loss of time. Hourly prayer, praise and singing will bring release. Pray, praise, sing at a white point of heat twenty-four hours a day. Let song possess your heart, praises form your tongue, let prayer be your constant companion, and your faith will move any mountain on your path. What should I sing? Use "I Clothe Myself Safely ‘Round," "Be Still and Know that I am God," and "Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow." The "secret place of the most high" is the Higher Creative Center, the sanctuary, the Golden Silence, from whence the Creator-servant speaks the creative Word. The Golden Silence is a high place in the universal vibration where the Altar is always open, day or night. To kneel at this Altar, we must hold a high point of consciousness. We must know that the Altar is there and hold our knowing constant, never fluctuating. We should need no preparation to enter the Golden Silence, to treat, or to express through prayer. Nor do we leave the Silence, but simply turn our attention from knowing the silent rapture to the joy of expressing the Silence. The Golden Silence is a jealous mistress and brooks no rival. When self becomes the Golden Silence’s rival, the veil of Maya drops and the mistress hides her face. "Let there be Light" is the true Logos vibration of Love, Wisdom and Selflessness emanating as One, complete. The secret lies in "let." One who uses this formula can never misuse Power or Substance. "Let there be Light" are the only God-creative words. This formula is always the first step in prayer, meditation and treatments in the Golden Silence. "Let there be Light" contains no self-will since it operates as the Holy Ghost, which is the first mystery of the Holy Ghost. Moses saw a bush that burned without being consumed. As he approached, God called and said, "Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground." For the Light to move through, we must first draw our personal reactions or "sensitivity," the five physical senses into the Golden Silence to become soul faculties. Our physical senses are supposed to be radar beams of protection from earth vibrations while we enter the Silence. The five senses, when indrawn, serve the soul through the five-pointed Oversoul Star, forming rays of sensitivity, which protect the physical body and the chakras. "When you pray, go into your room and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father, who is in the secret place." The whole process of entering the Golden Silence is learning how to ascend to our closet of Light, and close the door on the world. Then we can begin high prayer, which consists of praise, prayer and singing. Through our fingertips we draw in our expression of the five ordinary physical senses but not our radar screen of protection. We draw in our attention to create an impersonal life. We become impersonal to the little self, not reacting to praise, blame, or condemnation, which we lift into the Light. When we really enter the Golden Silence, we draw in our personality and the little self’s five physical senses to synthesize them into the great faculty of apperception, the ability to perceive a thing before it happens. Principle is first Light, Color, Tone, Number, Name and Form. As we ascend into the Light, Love, Joy, Faith and all other soul faculties become intensified. When we really learn how to enter the Golden Silence, we become Humility, a balance of Love and Wisdom, emanating as Compassion in the world. This opens the soul faculties of Illumination and Intuition, acting as Apperception. We must balance Intuition and Illumination. Intuition and Illumination rule our lives when we live in the Golden Silence. As we lift our hands (palms inward at the ears), we automatically align our chakras, open lotus centers and set alight the nerve endings, which whirl like little lights above the head to open the thousand-petaled lotus, the halo shown in old paintings. Apperception comes as the white Light of the Christ through the crown of the head. The world vibration or subconscious composite world mind whirls up through the feet. The world mind swamps us when we are looking out horizontally or down at the negative. Instead of pouring out compassion, which is Christ-consciousness, many people pour out sympathy that only opens them further to the world mind influx. Our five-pointed radar radiates to protect us the minute that we draw in the five senses and ascend to draw in pure Mind. The subconscious mind is then so interested in the high pictures it sees that it has no time to pay attention to the world mind. We can use imagination only one way at a time. If we want to prepare our mind to read, we move up and imagine ourselves in a cloud garden. Entering our garden is the first step in reaching the Golden Silence. We make subsoul sit there until egoic soul can feel and see this garden through Oversoul’s eyes. We reach with arms of Light and gather all our scattered parts together into one place. Say, "I ascend with my Oversoul, as one, to be absorbed into the Light." See the Golden Light! We cannot follow our Oversoul unless we see the Golden Light. Then we are there as pure Mind. We can use our soul faculties and have no trouble with the subconscious mind. We can read anything we like and it will be more than mundane, physical words, for we are reading from above. In our garden, love fills us with a sense of praise for God, our first step in high prayer. Enter the Golden Silence on praise, praising God. We go through the silver fields, the rainbow fields and into the Golden Light. "Thank Thee, Father, that Thy Mercy and Light flows forever and ever and are never turned off. God, the Father-Mother whom I worship and praise is both Personality and Principle that are unfailing." In the spirit of praise and exaltation, say, "I arise and enter my Father’s house. I stand under His Light from above, which He shares with me. I wait upon the great Voice and the great Face always while I work out my salvation through outer attention to details." Praise starts the whirling action of lifesparks and raises our rate of vibration. Praise expands our Substance under Joy, and opens the floodgate of our Star to pour Substance into our molds. Praise opens the inner eye to the beauty surrounding us in our garden. Then we turn our mind to the abstract by visualizing this beauty. At this second step, we are there. How can anyone who is drained dry of vitality, who is weak, give anything of lifting to the world? How can such prayer be more than beautiful words? We must lift the world by the Light, Life, Glory and Power of God. Singing is the highest form of praise and rejoicing known to man and is the second step in high prayer. Singing is one form of rejoicing that takes us from a puerile body into the Power of soul strength. Nothing on earth can resist the Power of a singing soul! Singing brings high vision and we see the Light so clearly that nothing the world presents can stand before our discerning eye. The walls fall down. The bonds of self fall away. All negativity dissolves and we are free. Nothing bothers or touches a singing heart and soul. Finally, our soul’s song, wordless and wonderful, arises to the Source. Our fervency, love for God, praise, singing and music open Heaven’s Door. Someday the world will learn to enter the Golden Silence on music. Each soul will sing a new song, play an instrument and make a joyful noise unto the Lord. When we reach our garden and begin to visualize beauty and praise, our radar screen projects its rays of sensitivity and protection. We go over our lines of Light to everyone we have contacted, beginning with our family and worst favorites, the ones who need us most! The Master came to save the sinners and transgressors, not the righteous. Blame, criticism and condemnation are curses, words numbered and named with your rate of vibration, which create after their degree and kind. Our worst favorites are our own "sinners" to save first. All we can do for them is to put them on a cloud of Light and speak the word for their healing. The Power does the work. We cannot make the Power do anything for anyone, yet we cannot save the sinners we abandon in a dark alley. We need not love their sin, but we must love them into Light. We need not love the ugly things people do but we certainly cannot afford condemnation and blame. We cannot make anyone change, be better, be what we want them to be or think they should be. All we can do is sit in our garden and see them on a cloud filled with Light from Above. We see them as pure souls, perfect in the Light, perfect before God. When we hold them there long enough, when we love God enough, they are healed. We are privileged to sit in our garden in the Golden Silence and lift everyone we know. When we devote ourselves to this Golden Silence, we begin to receive calls from all the people on our lines of Light, who need prayer. After we ascend to our garden, thank the Father and praise Him, we look up and "wait upon the Lord," which is how we attain seership and prophecy. This brings an ecstasy of soul that we can achieve in no other way. We just meet life from our garden. At first it is the living room, the bedroom or wherever we pray and our consciousness of our garden may seem a bit unreal. Gradually, as our garden becomes more real, a little more of us stays there each time we ascend. We begin to deal with everything that comes to us while we are still seated in our garden, which turns our faculty of imagination up instead of down, out into the world. We remain in our garden to study, because this turns Imagination toward Divine Mind, and this garden we are creating is the Source of Divine Mind. Our success in entering the Golden Silence depends on our ability to turn our faculty of Imagination up to the Source of our strength. The Power we invoke in prayer for the millions moves through our body as strength. When we return to outer consciousness, we do not descend from our garden. We stay in that High Place and turn our attention to the outer. We remain in contact with God, knowing that Power is using us. Eventually, we live in our garden and wrap arms of Light around everyone and everything. This is God-consciousness, cosmic Christed consciousness. Every hour’s investment increases the flow of Soul Substance from our Star and insures against lost time and effort in holding our gains. So we spread the Wings of our Soul and rejoice! The Love of God becomes the Law of our life. We are no longer conscious of a need to love. We love. Love becomes a flame and a fire, a glory to us. Even as the Seraphim and the Cherubim lift their wings above their heads when at rest, so do we lift our Wings of Joy until their tips touch above our head. We bow in reverence before High Altars to pray. Now we are ready to arise, spread our wings to soar into an ever higher Golden Silence, where even greater than comprehension is the Power of becoming One with God. "This is now become my hour of fulfillment, for I have declared my Heaven and my earth good and very good!" Conquering We must know how to pray. "Pray for those who despitefully use you" and persecute you. Have a flame of devotion in your heart when you answer the call to prayer. "Go into your room and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore, do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you need before you ask Him." The prayer room of the Almighty is a state of Oversoul I AM consciousness, but only those who love God can open the door. Stand on the "Sea of Glass" and say, "I love You, God the Beloved, God the Glorious," and you won’t see evil to name it, because evil is nameless before God. A glance can fill evil things with God’s Harmony. Do not name anything as being evil, but fill it with God, and declare it good. God sees evil as only lacking in Light. Aspiration
and Prayer To aspire is to desire, to aspire "after," to do something active about it. We aspire toward a goal, a mark, a prize, and can go no further than the height of our aspiration. We can become no greater than the point where our aspiration ceases, for there we create a "sonic barrier," a ceiling too thick to penetrate. When we have no further need to seek "after," no need to "do," old age sets in, whether we’re ten or eighty! Those who have no aspiration have a closed mind. They know enough, are smug in their present knowledge, self-satisfied and self-virtuous What has prayer to do with aspiration? Prayer is the jet fuel that powers our spiritual aircraft through the sonic barrier. True prayer consists in a yearning toward something greater than the self – and more, something greater than we can find in the world. There are many stages in prayer, from lukewarmness to the white point of heat, and many states of consciousness. A jet cannot fly without fuel. As in the physical world, our prayers can ascend no higher toward the Source than the yearning, burning degree of desire under them. Wishing, wanting and hoping are not enough. We need burning hot desire, flaming, sparkling imagination, and some action of belief that can attain to white heat. We must "believe to see," for seeing to believe will keep us at the lukewarm degree. We can offer no high prayer without aspiration, nor attain fulfillment of our aspirations without prayer as their foundation and power. Aspiration is to be resurrected from a low vibration, and prayer is to be ascended to a state of joyous ecstacy! Love is the expression of true prayer, which forges the strongest lines in the universe of gossamer Light. We must love God enough to penetrate through our personal sonic barrier into a joy that is atomic power in action, into Faith Unconquerable, a place of miracle after miracle, miracle upon miracle, an ever ascending goal. it Came to Pass! "Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." To be fed by the manna of faith, we may indulge in no wilfulness or force in asking, no half demands, no setting time limits. We must use the eternal now: "Now is the good time." All times are "good" times, but now is the best time of all. Our great confusion comes from jumping around on our life chord. We lose our step when we jump. Moving up, steadily and rhythmically, sets a perfect pace and will keep us tuned to our proper "chord" in life. In John 14:12, the Master promises, "He who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you shall ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." Do we honestly believe in this promise? All things are possible, but do we go just this far, then think we have done it? What do we truly want? The creature fears, doubts, and expects lacks. The Creator expects all Power, Light and Love "as me." It all depends on the size of our plan. We need a practical, everyday plan. Subsoul works like a clock for us, according to the size of our plan, and what we "bind" or "loose" on earth. Before bedtime, "see" your home, office or destination and everything in it within a Sphere of Light. Before work or the day’s travels, send a Sphere of Light to fill your destination. When you are ready to leave for home, send a Sphere of Light to fill your house. "See" everyone you meet at home, the office, in cars, or buses, as walking or sitting in Spheres of Light. Put one at your office door for every visitor. Imagination is your gift from God to use! Then your life plan will be fed with manna, and will keep you excited, thrilled and expectant. Your plan will pursue you! It will transform your life, because this plan is your Mount of Transfiguration, where you become the Love of God, Joy in God and Unconquerable Faith. Prayer,
Treatments and The Silence Someone must deliberately give all darkness to the Father. No darkness, of whatever grade or kind, can be lifted unless somebody, who loves God enough, will scrape it up and give it to the Father as their gift. Prayer ascends it, according to the purity of our mind, heart and purpose. We cannot lift any more than we are. We cannot lift any higher than we are, or pray any higher than we are practicing Law. All prayer, from the savage to the highest god, is used to overcome darkness and to lift earth. The lower grades of prayer, short on quality and quantity, are folded into the next higher grade. We must move from a state of selfishness to a state of soul-ish-ness. The negative pride or arrogance in your heart goes forth from you all the time, and that is what the other fellow gets. The Miracle Lazarus, Martha and Mary were among Jesus’ most beloved friends. You don’t deliberately hurt those you love, yet Jesus intentionally delayed going to Lazarus, who was so ill. Two days of delay signify the time we remain quiet when loved ones want us to do something we know we shouldn’t do. Jesus said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it." We must live by the Law of Love to glorify God. They couldn’t understand why Jesus waited, but he showed us that we must wait under Law when it means freedom for everyone in the end. We must base prayer on desire, and the degree of our desire determines the result of our prayer, a slow process, or instantaneous miracle. The secret is to love God enough. Jesus prayed aloud so they would know how he did it. He was always "prayed up" and ready. He took no credit but gave all the credit to God, the Power that does all the work. "He cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’ " It takes a loud, high love-filled tone to change a low earth vibration. Jesus said, "Loose him and let him go." We must loose our loved ones from the faults we find in them, see them perfect on a cloud before God, knowing the inner man is perfect. Perfection finally surfaces to become "flesh and blood" when we coax it. Substance has the power to become, so free all your miracles. Never put yourself in bondage, even to a miracle. Live each day as if you expect a miracle. You are your own miracle! Imagination, Thinking and Desires are your Power tools, guided by Intuition and Illumination, your precision instruments. Principles Lift the horror you feel in reading or seeing a news story. To be depressed by it is to swallow the dragon tail first. Everyone on earth is lifting darkness, but doing it consciously with treatments, is our work. Treat to lift all the dirt coming to the surface first, then lift again for Light to dissolve all the force. Reach out with arms of Light, draw it in and up into your Shaft of Fire to dissolve it. When someone speaks offensively, and you are shocked, be still, lift it up. Don’t choke on the tail of the dragon by being unobservant. Avoid the touchy person! Raise your mental hands, go up, put them on a cloud, but don’t wish they would leave! Say, "Father, send Your Light to cleanse this one now," and the very Light the Father sends will cause the other to spew the dragon forth. He may spit venom. Wait and say, "Father, take all this force and let it be put in your Shaft of Fire to dissolve now!" The ritual of surrounding others should be like putting on shoes and stockings. Your reaction should be instantaneous. When your phone or door bell rings, surround the caller with a Sphere of Light. If a neighbor bedevils you, put a sun center of Light over his home and renew it daily to encase him and his family. Your house isn’t free until you place a sun center over every home on the block. When you hit a low, you are taking on your neighbor’s darkness. Encircle and surround, place a little sun center in every room and a great one over the whole house. Do this in your place of business also, especially over the telephone. We aim our treatments at lifting all darkness. When you say, "Let Name be healed," the entities will fasten on his weak spots. Entities are of two varieties, mindless clouds of our own Substance, or discarnate floating souls. They sap the life force from the body upon which they fasten, at the shoulders, knees, etc. Every thought takes on a shapeless form. The dweller on the threshold is a mindless cloud of past karma, Substance that one scatters in fear, anger, etc. That scattered Substance collects all Substance of a similar nature and brings it back to you. This goes on around us always. Lift the force. Say, "Let Light go forth to absorb the darkness into a Cloud of Glory. Let it be lifted, taken up and made into Light." The Guards loosen the entities in the first Shaft of Light. See darkness in a Rainbow Sphere of Light, rainbow to facilitate change. Put mitts of Light on an alcoholic, and declare that everything he drinks, including liquor, is Holy Communion, to change the Substance from the mundane to a higher state. "This is a Holy Communion. Let the Spiritual Substance from the Source recreate this into original, pure Universal Substance." They will get so much from the Rainbow Sphere that they do not want to drink on earth. Declare this for all beverages in your own refrigerator. The miracle comes when we stand and release this Power, loving God, standing high enough for the Power to move through and bring it to pass. If you want to be healed, you are acknowledging that you are ill and that you are accepting illness. Say, for instance, that you have a growth. You hold it in one hand and pray with the other; you just go back and forth and work it out until you work it out! God can’t heal you when you are conscious of your need. Love God with so much ecstacy that only your love remains! Sometimes we use doctors and drugs as outer agents and Substance of God, but we can’t hold out on anything when we go to the Father! If we are less than perfect, we are not fervent enough in loving God. When you stand in the Light, people hand you all manners of reactions. Some people may hate what they see in your Light because you become a mirror in which they see themselves; what they hate is their own reflection. When our work is finished, when we have loved God enough, we live with perfection. God transforms them. He does the work when you love Him enough. An
Instrument of Power God never measures generosity in tiny increments. The lowliest person can kneel at the Master’s feet and God will hear his prayers as quickly as those offered by a saintly soul. God hears all prayers, foolish or wise, and always says yes, even when you say, "I am weak. I am poor. I am sick. I am tired," because you set the vibration. You get just what you asked for. Yet God is merciful. He sees you as a prodigal child, perfect in your desire when you pray. Your reward lasts while you obey Law and remain high in consciousness, but no longer. "Judge not, and you shall not be judged." After we have erased the tendency to judge another, nothing negative will remain in our response when we face a difficult person or situation. Seeking
Independence Making each day better than the last is the way to Joy consciousness, how to stay up and know God. You quit praying "on the run" and telling God you’ll give it more time tomorrow because you’ll desire to pray and love Him more. You pray not to get, but to see how much praise and love you can give God. You’ll want to embrace the whole world in love, and say, "This is good," in the face of death, in the midst of destruction. Familiar Guests King Herod had arrested Peter during the Feast of the Passover, intending to try him publicly after Easter. The disciples had trained their followers in sacrifice of self. So since they felt honor-bound to make their faith pay dividends, they sacrificed their fears, forgave their detractors and persecutors and prayed without ceasing for Peter. They didn’t believe they had enemies, but that God had enemies. Peter’s miracle appeared through acceptance and the power of prayer. Peter slept in prison, which proves that he wasn’t too worried. The soldiers had bound him with two chains and held him under heavy guard. We often live with spiritual and material chains of bondage. "Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise quickly! And his chains fell off his hands." Mentally breathe from the Source to lift when you must meet a challenge. "Gird yourself, and tie on your sandals." You gird yourself by contracting the abdominal muscles so your breath draws the magnetic currents of earth to the heart to strengthen your sheath of protection. Cross your arms to create a magnetic wall of Light to protect you from the arrows that fly by day. Tying on your sandals means to strap on understanding so it does not get away from you. "Put on your garment and follow me." You become invisible when you enfold yourself in a robe of protective Light. Light shielded Peter, even after the angel left him. Peter’s acceptance and Unconquerable Faith opened the iron gates of doubt and fear with the keys of Wisdom and Comprehension. Peter was in a daze after the angel struck him. He realized that he’d had a miracle only when he "came to himself," no longer in bonds or in prison. Peter was so shocked about his miracle that he thought it was a vision, not real. The praying disciples had released the Power that brought the angel to earth. Peter knew where they were praying and went to them. Rhoda recognized Peter’s voice, but didn’t have enough common sense to let him in! Peter continued knocking, and they were astonished when they saw him standing at the door. How often have you prayed but disbelieved the answer? The
Point of No Return Prayer has three facets that are vital to our daily needs. My present desire: Have I asked for it? My prayer pattern: How have I asked for it? My goal: What is it? We must ascend our desires. Question yourself: What kind of desires do I have? For survival only? Am I interested in God first? Do I want to know more and go higher? Should I compare myself with neighbors, family, friends? "I’m doing better than they are" is cold comfort. The average person talks about nothing, but we must discuss how desire applies in our lives. Do I desire Illumination, Comprehension, to know the Law of Growth? Isaiah describes the true way of fervent prayer: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Everything depends on the fervency of our prayers. How zealous is "I tried"? How hot are your prayers? Below zero? Ten degrees above? How high do they go? To the ceiling, or the stars? How do I straighten my path? God can’t walk a crooked path with you, or find you on a winding path up a mountain of negative emotions. Every path straightens when desire turns upward. Ask yourself: "How have I prayed?" Half demands, half doubts? Most metaphysical truth statements are demands. Yet, you use inner credits when you demand in prayer, until you have nothing left to lift you if you stub your toe, and you fall into the ditch. Decide what you want. Once you believe to see Divine Power in action, it pulls you back on the path. Every "valley" is an emotional low that we must fill with Light, so take your share. Why be a martyr or give up your share of Light? Darkness uses the energy you waste! Anyone who is conscious of giving is living under self-imposed martyrdom, which depletes vitality. A noble martyr makes a great show of suffering to arouse sympathy, yet earns no inner credits. Any virtue used to exalt the self becomes a form of viciousness. We must bring every mountain-lump and hill-growth low, and straighten the crooked path to the goal. People who say, "This is my last incarnation," have many more ahead. You could do it in a year, a day, or in a single prayer, if you loved God enough. Worry quickly dissipates energy, so quit imagining your spiritual debts. Today is cleanup time under prayer. Do it now and make the "rough ways smooth." How long do you put off making vows or decisions? Why wait? Eat what’s on your plate, like it, finish paying your debts, and ascend. The perfect process of prayer is lifting, praising and letting. Tune out the world vibration, and tune in the Power of Almighty God. Surround your loved ones with Light in prayer, then nothing but love can enter. Cold Principle does not warm us. We need Personality to draw forth the flowering of love. Melchizedek the King of Peace still walks earth, and in your garden of Eden at eventide. Praise God in an ecstasy born of rapture that replenishes you. Know that Light moves forth, and that you can ascend with no self, as a perfect servant of all Power. Let God use you and do the work, and let Power fill the world through you. Many decide to follow Jesus, then refuse to ascend. "Ye are gods" and "it has not yet been revealed what you shall be." You could lift and declare that everyone you contact is God’s perfect agent, if you have an Ascension goal in mind. Mr. Anyone was happy until he saw the doctor, whose diagnosis was negative. Mr. Anyone fearfully believed this, followed the doctor’s advice, but became worse. If you roll in a coal bin, you turn black. Mr. Anyone could have bathed in his tower room of Light if he had once declared that he walked the path of Ascension. He could have told the doctor, "God works through you. I declare this is a miracle of God," and walked out whole and perfect. A doctor has every reason to believe the worst if the patient is negative. Declare that your doctor’s brain cells are filled with Divine Illumination, and his hands drip with o’ershadowing Light. Any doctor can accept the fact that he can heal, and Light will use him. Ascend to the Life of God, who can recreate whatever He created, which is our basis for believing in miracles. Come
Ye Apart The secret of successful prayer is to be single-minded and oblivious to the world’s noise and distractions, which is why Jesus said "Come ye apart." We know that a Source of Light lies at our highest point of extended vision. Space is endless, and we need not all go to the same place. Our Father has arranged it so that we each have our own individual Source, a "secret place" in which to expand and commune with Him. Turn imagination up to a vision of Light as you ascend to the Source. Look up, envision a room of Light made just for you, and you are there – it’s that simple. One way to pray is by giving a broadcasting prayer with many words. The other is a silent, wordless, upward-looking, in-drawing prayer of soul. Neither will work alone, so using them simultaneously is the trick. We apply prayer three ways. We must have a method, a formula, and know where, when and how to pray. Where to pray can be anywhere. When to pray can be anytime. How to pray may trip us. Jesus told us to enter a room, shut the door and pray. Where is this room? What door do we close? Often we feel like a factory boiler room as we begin to pray, for subconscious conflicts clamor when we become silent. We can’t enter the Golden Silence filled with resentments and irritations, but the average person just suppresses subconscious distractions, pushing them back to the boiler room where they continue to howl and clank. Our prayers ascend as high as our consciousness. How can I commune with God in the Golden Silence while worldly noises, problems and the subconscious all clamor? Self thinks of its own negativity. Love enough erases all self, unwise actions, hasty words, monetary worries and guilt complexes. We pay a great price to love: We must conquer self. Balance the day’s book of self with love each night. God must have your full attention. Your ears may hear noises, but you listen to God with your brain cells, and each is an inner "ear." Reach down from your room of Light and encircle your physical mouth and ears with a rose-pink cloud of devotion. Oversoul touches your egoic soul, everything in the subconscious boiler room is drawn up to ascend into that Light, and distractions disappear. This is how you enter your room and close the door to pray. What kind of listener are you? Some listen with only 10percent of their attention. Ascend in consciousness to your Source of Light, become a full listener to obliterate world noises and hear God in this beautiful sphere of Silence. Give God your full attention. Two things can disturb you here. You can be so busy telling God what He should do that you can’t hear the vibration of His Voice, like being oblivious to the television while you are doing something else. You can also become so peaceful that you loll in the Light, go to sleep and hear nothing. You must have time to prepare for prayer, to enter your room of Light and close the door on the world. Scattered prayer effort counts and helps save the world, but true prayer power comes in supreme Golden Silence. A proverb says, "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life." Humility is the ability to accept and surrender, and loving God enough is the only qualification needed. Your obedience and acceptance of Divine Law give you riches, honors and life. Now you are ready to pray. First, prepare yourself to give to the world. You don’t want an "empty" body when you’re finished. Praise pushes the button and opens every door to intake Power until you find your body full to overflowing with Light and Love. Heaven is full of so many Courts and Thrones to see, so extend your vision to Eternity, then tighten your focus. Remain in the Golden Light, praise God and tell Him how much you love Him, how wonderful He is. Broadcast love to the world, to everyone on your lines of Light. Call them all by name and say, "I love you. You are free." Your body becomes a powerhouse, a conduit of Light for the world when you just give and give. How many hours have you spent on other people’s business? If you meant to spend ten minutes with God but gave Him thirty, you may be tempted to rush to make up the time, which shocks the body, and you lose the glory you could have held all day. When you turn back to God, tell Him again how much you love Him. Thank God you have had such a glorious time with Him. Keep your consciousness in a room of Light, zipped up from the world. Breathe deeply, slowly open your eyes to the world, and you’ll stay up, on your Mount of Transfiguration. Stand in the Light, filled with life and God’s pure Love. You can easily handle mundane matters when you stay up in consciousness and praise God after prayer. Nothing of earth can hurt you if you are zipped-up in Light. "Come ye apart" and "rest a while" in the immortal, deathless, ageless and abiding Love of God. Light is the source of indestructible atomic power, and standing in the pure Light of God, you are immortal, invulnerable, invincible, immovable. Remain in the Light where Power still possesses you. As you lean back to "rest a while," praise God that Power moves through hour by hour as you remain with Him. Prayer becomes the ultimate creative vibration as a love song of ecstasy from the heart. The Throne If you go to your Father with any request, you go before your own Altar. No matter how much you know of the mysteries, you still go before the Father. If you ask a question like, "Isn’t it right for me to do this?" He will say to you, "Thou hast said." Never do this. You should ask, "Father, advise me. Suggest what to do. Give me the idea to put over," then just listen for your answer. You don’t know when you will get your answer. How would God get the masses to listen if He didn’t give them a reason to listen? Just ask the question and wait for the answer. God is not deaf. Your prayer goes to the right Altar for an answer. When you love God enough, a light leads you, pushing you along a beam. There is a difference between a word answer and an action answer. Ninety percent of the answers to prayer are action answers. Degree
and Kind Watch your words, for they will go forth as they are spoken, to create after their degree and kind. Use no idle words. Keep your soul alight as though it were a great candle burning before the Altars. Make the words on your lips follow the meditation of your soul before the Altar, to make statements that will set aside evil and war to the greatest possible extent, to add no ifs, ands or maybes after them. Let your statements have a clean-cut pronunciation, and a period. Then, having done this, stand and hold. Much more evil can be set aside. Lift it from the face of the earth. As
God Sees Me Charity starts with you. Each morning, make a mental picture of what you want to become. See yourself as pure, perfect and holy. This eliminates being "human," growing older and any alibis. If you honor God, you will honor Him with all your heart, mind and soul. How does God like His Creation in you? Do you picture yourself as a person who can do all things? Rise to all situations and love God always? Does your love spill out to heal and bless all who come near you? Will you be equal to releasing the Power and Light under every circumstance in your life? Your subconscious mind knows only what you tell it. Then you begin to see yourself as God sees you. God sees you beautiful, strong, equal to all situations. He sees all the true intents of your mind and the perfect image of you that started out millions of years ago. Now you will see yourself as He sees you. This eliminates all self pity. If people you know miss the mark in their intentions, see their intentions of their hearts and know they will measure up later. God doesn’t give up with you. This is seeing as God sees you. Every time you lift this quality in yourself, you lift the veil of illusion and open the way to Illumination. Brainwashing,
Inc. "Brainwashing" is a process of persuasion, propaganda or indoctrination that changes some factor of thinking or emotional quality. Learning good manners was probably your first exposure to brainwashing. Everyone uses it as persuasion to bring people together, and to get them to work in harmony. Tyrants and dictators have used brainwashing as propaganda on the negative side. We incorporate brainwashing in Ascension work to cleanse the brain cells of darkness. Since we know it works, we can discern that some great underlying power operates to this end. Since Love is the only power in the universe that can recondition or change Substance from one form to another, brainwashing must operate under the Principle of Love, which we apply to change our minds. The expression of love is all-powerful, but is evil when inverted and applied as hate. Unfortunately, people believe more firmly in the power of hate than in love. Brainwashing is evil only when it makes another do something evil, or when it changes good into evil. Prayer is the highest outer expression of our love for God. Prayer is the invisible bridge between us and our Creator. Brainwashing in its supreme degree represents the prayer power of the Elect. Mesmerism, hypnotism and lies are at the low end of the pole, but are still part of love. The petition prayer of the masses asking for something personal lies between. How do we apply brainwashing to our life of Ascension? We brainwash ourselves to leave behind the doubt and fear. We change our thinking from orthodoxy, prejudice and opinions. As we follow the Christ in Ascension, we let our Oversouls brainwash our subsouls and convince our subconscious minds to eradicate doubt and fear. If you ever said, "I prayed so long but God never answered me," your Substance went to those you criticized and blamed between your prayers. Prayer is spiritual brainwashing, and only through prayer does anyone’s mental life change. Quickly brainwash yourself whenever you begin to feel "pure," proud, self-pitying or "yak" about your family and the world — if they would be good, you would be happy. As your mental life ascends under high hypnosis, it signals the physical life to change. True brainwashing reconditions your whole life, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Lift your emotions to Love. What do you do with the people who offend you? "What is that to you? Follow me." If you stick your nose in people’s lives, you’ll eventually put it in their garbage. Part of you ends in your friend’s trash can if you criticize and blame, and it comes home like a buzzard to roost. Admitting a problem admits you have lost contact with the Source of enough Power to solve any problem. We never admit problems if we have enough real desire to lift our share of world problems. Self stops and asks, "Does this belong to me?" We have the right to brainwash offenders, but only through prayer, by saying, "I love you. You’re wonderful." This routine works! God’s Power uses you to wipe ugliness from the minds and hearts of others. Use the power of suggestion on offenders, and declare the Power of the Living God fills their hearts as Light, cleansing them of negativity. Go about your business and love God. Having done all, you stand. All is how much you love God. Stand with Him when you have finished. You then see the need for prayer for those in trouble. The Father lifts His hands and Lights flash to surround the object of your prayer. Brainwashing is self-discipline and prayer, God’s Love and Power in action. Brainwashing and the power of suggestion, used as the pure and undiluted Love of God, creates Light so bright you can accept and meet more challenges than you ever dreamed was possible. Oracles
of God "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies." An oracle of God is surrendered and dedicated to truth, loving God, living by faith until he or she is certain of this conscious contact with God. "I will put the words upon your lips." "Young zeal is slumbering" in the beginner, who says, "Leave me alone." Since he never knows whether his prayers are right or wrong, he descends to the cellar before climbing to the tower room. He climbs, falls, and climbs again until he finds a center point of faith. If you simply memorize prayers, you become a "skull bumper," an escapist. The keynote of soul awakening is "you are wrong." People see others’ faults while remaining smug and self-satisfied with "knowing the whole truth." Yet how can you learn about the wrong or right way to pray unless you see it outside yourself, in another first? Life is education, all part of the climb. The first thing to ascend is your prayers. You are "bumping the ceiling" in prayer if you are "holier than thou." No one can penetrate the earthly mists until the pure Love of God enters the heart. The third milestone is the part-time "star grabber" in prayer filled with "I think" and "I’ll do it my way." He still seeks to use Power and drag heaven down to earth intellectually. Brainwashing the old subconscious mind begins here, and talking about the truth begins the process. At least you’re grabbing at your star. People say, "It took the heart out of me." You reached for your star and dropped it. "I was put on a spot!" What spot? You always have a choice. Life isn’t cast in cement! Move up in consciousness. Resurrect all old self and enter your garden of Eden. Being "put on a spot" is the only way God can help you resurrect past indifference, idleness and idle words. It pays dividends and you have no force to pay back if you don’t react emotionally. To feel the full glory of being an oracle is to live in full Christed I AM stature! We’re unlimited in our prayers. We’re no longer "skull-bumping," bouncing off the ceiling or would-be "star grabbers." We ride the stars as the Truth of God. The Faith of God becomes our Glory and makes us an Oracle Triumphant. Invincible Power Joy is the Energy Principle in action, the essence of the Holy Ghost causing every cell to dance and have a twinkle in its eye. How can we contact Joy as such an all-fulfilling vibration? Our prayers break the mental barrier and become invincible when we fill them with the fervency of valor. Most prayers are merely demand checks presented at the window of God’s Bank to cover our needs, or sight drafts on Power for strength. We collect from God the exact amount left to us after our deductions. "What deductions?" you ask. We pray, earning the release of just so much Power and Substance. Our deductions are resentment, rebellion, self-pity, pride, griping and grief. For months you’ve had perfect thoughts, pictures and feelings, and declared everything good. Since you are such a joy-worker, you attract everyone with a need. If you aren’t looking sharp for more Invincible Joy, you’ll soon hear yourself pray, "Lord, send me help since everyone calls me." You poor little thing. "I can’t take it. I hate it! What’s wrong?" Instead say, "Lord, I am strong! Lord, I am joy." Then you’ll hear people say, "How beautiful you look. How lovely you are." The
Pioneering Mystic All aspects of prayer fall under the Degree of the Mystic. Mysticism reveals God’s hidden nature as Personality, and reveals that God speaks as Personality through personality to personality. The mystic communes directly with God, or philosophically stated, with Divine Mind. The mystic prays to God, knows God, accepts God, and longs with all his heart and soul to return to God, the Source of All Light and life. The pioneering mystic passes beyond intellectually practicing metaphysical mental science that holds him stuck within his skull. Mental science is good, but to ascend in consciousness, our burning desire must flame beyond the ceiling. The mystic has the soul ambition to return to God as a selfless servant of all Power under sacrificial surrender. A true mystic is single-minded and determined to ascend after spiritual rebirth and resurrection from old beliefs and ways of living. How do I begin pioneering as a mystic? Every time I think high, soul-inspiring, glorious thoughts, or am aware of my shortcomings, I ascend from horizontal, worldly consciousness to vertical God-consciousness. As I obey Principle, I begin to blaze a trail in the new high territory of Ascension. The mystic uses the soul faculties of Intuition (related to Love) and Illumination (related to Wisdom) to commune directly with God and become all Law received through this communion. The mystic becomes the Law of Humility, which is God’s Wisdom and Love in perfect balance as Compassion. To the mystic, conquering is becoming all the Laws received through Initiations under the great Seven Degrees. Anyone, who desires to ascend in consciousness under love and selflessness, can climb on an ascending mystic’s vibration, if he can give up the "little self" and become Law. The mystic’s lifting power lies in his devotional attitude toward God, and the respiratory rate of balance he attains at the heart center, between the lower abdominal centers and higher brain centers. The mystic breathes the Holy Ghost as Light to balance the Love and Wisdom of God moving through, and we become Compassion. A pioneering mystic is awakening the pineal gland and developing the soul faculty of Illumination. We cannot have perfect Intuition under a fully functioning pituitary gland until we experience some Illumination. On an ascending vibration and sincere desire to lift, a mystic can enter a room and raise the vibration until everyone balances on the same high vibration, which is how we can "see" on another’s vibration. "If I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to me." The mystic’s power to lift is so great that he could heal anyone on his ascending vibration. When can I become a mystic? Any place, any time, twenty-four hours a day, if I love enough. Only love can buy a lift from God. Devotion and love can give us an emotional lift, and we arise in selflessness through prayer. Vision and hearing depend upon the height, breadth and depth of devotion. We cannot pray without praise in our hearts. The Mystic learns high prayer and praise, to balance Love and Wisdom perfectly, to stand in balance under the pure White Light of the Christ. The heart center is the respiratory rate of balance between the lower creative centers and the entrance to the Higher Creative Center, which is the mystic’s citadel of conquering in the Promised Land. The mystic possesses the Promised Land by perfectly balancing Love and Wisdom. We cannot develop spiritual gifts without balance at the heart center, which we do by completely conquering the drag of emotion and intellect. Standing in the Golden Silence, the Mystic maintains a constant contact with the Source, and names all things "good and very good." The materiality of self falls from the soul, and his face shines as pure Joy. Everyone is free to choose his approach to God. Everybody is privileged to worship God as he wishes. Metaphysicians work by modifying Principle to suit individual needs. Mysticism correlates with Personality as our expression of the Life of God. We can live under God as "deathless, ageless and abiding" only by regarding Father-God as the Wisdom Principle, Mother-God as the Love Principle and God the Son, the Holy Ghost, as the Joy Principle. We can fold anything religion can produce into the balance scale of Love and Wisdom. Transfiguration is the Mystic Degree Initiation. Some people act as mediators, the vibratory rate of balance between the visible and invisible worlds, just as catalysts that bring together two different Substances and transfigure them into a new, common Substance. Transfiguration raises the vibratory rate of balance of physical cells from the coarser material to the radiant electronic fire body. The Oversoul descends in the fire body under Transfiguration, causing the outer sheath to glister with the White Light of the Christ. We do not instantly transfigure ourselves completely, but a bit at a time. When we dream of darkness, we resurrect a point of fear to lift over the abyss. When we stop weeping tears of self-pity, we will erase tears from earth. Every time we pray as a mystic, we transfigure a little. Hatha Yoga (the yoga of breath) teaches this and many concentrate on this phase for thirty-five years. We use prayer to draw in the lifesparks. Open to the Father and Light enters to transfigure the physical body as it ascends. At night, to open your body for permeating Power, say, "I commend my spirit unto Thee, oh Father. Let Thy Spirit move through this body. Let it be healed and purified. Let it be Light." When we declare perfection before going to sleep, we open ourselves to God’s Energy and Substance, and awaken light and happy. In the morning, breathe deeply and declare, "Move into your body and take charge to occupy it for the day." Do not dangle halfway between here and there. Stand ten feet tall. Open yourself to the River of Life. Say, "Let the Spirit of Light move through me." If we close out God’s Power, we push 14.7 pounds per square inch of atmosphere before us, but if we open ourselves, it flows through us. The Mystic Degree represents the vibratory rate of balance between inner and outer, between Doing and Being the Law. An Abyss to Becoming separates Being and Doing, which is the point of contact between the visible and invisible world that we reach in high prayer. A space always exists between Being and Doing, where Power may move into what we decree. To reach Transfiguration, we climb until we touch the prayer point of contact. Prayer is the only pathway through the Abyss. We become only under prayer, which must be eloquent, mercurial, quick and transfiguring to be effective. Prayer is one way to pass each test quickly, the only way to cross each Abyss. We just think about it, analyze and rationalize under the negative mental-intellectual vibration. Intellectual prayer sinks into the body, and our consciousness remains within our skull, under the ceiling. Every thought we think and word we utter is Divine Substance. Prayer is Divine Substance in action. Make every thought a prayer. This is becoming. This is prayer without ceasing, and making every moment pay a dividend in the Life of God. Pray for each television actor or announcer you see, surround them with arms of Light and lift all detriments. Pray for the world while you watch or hear the news so you are all "prayed up" and ready to stretch out on a cloud of Light when you go to bed. This will provide coordinated relaxation. Eight
Great Powers of Being The Mystic serves God day and night, inwardly singing, "Holy, Holy, Holy." Praise frees us to pray with fervor at the heart center. The heart center is the respiratory rate of balance among the three lower and three higher chakras. Transfiguration is drawing in and ascending the physical lifesparks to the desire and mental body. We transfigure ourselves under service to God only. Buddhism cultivates tolerance and "right action" (conduct) through contemplation and seeking comprehension of the "all." This is not enough. To apply tolerance, we must live in the world and learn how to agree and adjust. The Mystic’s Power of Being is setting aside gravitation, becoming too light to be held by earth gravity. It is walking on Light-beams, a raised and indrawn atomic mental body vibration, which is transfiguration. Emotions must be sublimated to levitate or walk on water. The ALL lifts the "little self" into I AM consciousness under praise, thankfulness, gratitude and devotion. Acceptance, surrender, obedience and praise are the paths to Transfiguration and levitation. What
Is a Miracle? When you can ask the question, you are in sight of the answer. To receive an answer to a question, your mind must be as still as water on a still night. Therefore, the first very great necessity for expression is to learn never to ask why. If you still ask why, you lack acceptance. Lack of acceptance is the whole difficulty. It does not matter whether you still talk about demonstrating instead of "letting" a miracle appear, or whether you have illumination from the Source under prayer. The rest of the time you only think you are praying, or you are just thinking about praying. You are thinking about ascending, thinking about getting ready to accept. A state of grace is acceptance of Truth. When you have extended your consciousness high enough, you do receive the answer. You can’t bring truth through the Veils of Maya unless you have balanced yourself at the heart center. Three sentences will take you to the Source. No matter where you stand, no matter what kind of day it is, you can stand for three seconds and say: "This is good. Let there be Light. ‘I AM’ loves you." If you declare anything good, God will work it together for good. "All things work together for good to those that love God," yet He can’t work it together for good if you declare it is evil. If you love God enough, love Principle enough, are dedicated enough, you have only one answer: "This is good." You never need to say, "I don’t know what to do." That’s the greatest lie you use to kid yourself. Just say, "This is good," and wait upon the Lord."Let there be Light" is saying "Let God be here as Light." Remember the as. Light contains absolutely everything we need for creation. A Creator, standing as the servant of all the Power before an Altar, merely speaks the word to release Light to do the perfect work. Light needs and tolerates no interference. Light is sufficient to do the whole job. The Law to apply where we need Light is always to prepare the way of the Lord by declaring the object of your prayer "good" and "very good." Then use proper phrases to express the need, such as, "Let there be Light," or, "Let Thy Light go forth," or, "Oh, God, according to Thy loving kindness." Ask for greater clarity in proper prayer. "‘I AM’ loves you" is knowing how to seek the Kingdom of Heaven first so that all things are added to your life. "I AM" is the expression of the Oversoul. Oversoul is the healer, for it is already absolute perfection. Your mind is at least twofold, 1) conscious mind, which does most of the important thinking, and 2) subconscious mind, which we’ve filled with the negatives of previous lives. Yet, superconscious mind is an extension of the Oversoul and forever remains in contact with all Power and Light. You are supposed to be conscious of this. This is the Kingdom of Heaven. You are in the Kingdom of Heaven right now. You just lose awareness of it. "I AM the in Kingdom of Heaven" is a simple, magical statement. Just saying the words makes you fully aware that you are in the Kingdom of Heaven now! You don’t need great rituals, just become the Kingdom of Heaven here and now. "I AM loves you right now, where you are," is a perfect cure for enemies. A miracle is an acceleration of natural law. "In the beginning was the Word," and that Word is Light, the One Substance of God. We can do only two things to Universal Sub-stance, raise or lower its rate of vibration under the primary Laws of Expansion and Contraction. If we lower the rate of vibration too much, we have crystallization or paralysis. We can raise the vibration of crystallized cells only under dedication to Love and the cohesive Power from above. Earth can produce nothing that will not yield where love is Love and not just "thinking about it." When a situation doesn’t yield, we have a poverty of Love. We are impoverished of Love before poverty empties our pocketbook or steals our health. Paul Tillich said, "You cannot understand a miracle from a horizontal position. When man’s greatest need to receive reaches up and meets God’s greatest need to give, the result is a miracle." Life itself is God’s desire to give, to express, is why we are here. When all on the outside has failed, ascend high enough to reach that Power that gives the miracle. We could say that all pray-er reaches up. What is healing? An expanded vibration of Substance. What is illness or financial trouble? A low vibration of condensed Substance. Healing happens under a high vibration of expanded Substance. The only way is to ascend to where God is and to love God enough, which raises the vibration of Substance. When we love God enough, God is the miracle. A miracle is the manifestation of perfection. When we love God enough, that Power, that Glory, that Light enters as a miracle: God expressing as complete perfection. This is the most beautiful gift, and anyone can give it. Each must be adequate to holding the foot of ground he occupies. Each can be equal and adequate in that one spot. There are no problems in the world, just inadequate people fumbling around. It is a matter of choice. Stand and say, "I do choose God. I want this healing. I know that I do. This is good. ‘I AM’ loves you. ‘I AM’ loving. ‘I AM’ a miracle of life." When you love God enough to become one with Him, then you have healing, a miracle in the twinkling of an eye. When you comprehend everything that you think you know about Law, you will be there. It is a matter of stepping just a notch higher. I wish the words could be put upon my lips, once and for all, to wipe away the barriers. Most people just think they are praying. Their prayers just simmer. Ascend to where the greatness of God possesses you. It is so simple and so easy when you stop fussing and asking why. Your love goes forth as a flash of Light, a bomb of Light, to produce the miracle. Yet you must look up in consciousness to where God is and give up idle words. That means watching every word that leaves your lips. Everything God has created, He can recreate. What has been done, can be done and is being done. God never puts a block before anyone, but you create a barrier with every idle word. When man’s prayer is fervent enough to reach the Source, it calls forth a bomb of Light equal to the need. Every need you voice in prayer is a sight draft on the Power, a note you must pay when it is presented. Picture Daniel in the lion’s den, talking to God with no other consciousness in his heart or mind. The Light was great enough to scare the lions because Daniel wasn’t lion-conscious when he prayed. Your prayer must ascend above earth and your need to God, the Source. Think of God, not your need. When your thought of God is so great that you know nothing is impossible, you have reached fervency. God causes your fervency. Picture God as your All. If you think of need or "picture" need, you adulterate your prayer. When the fervency of your love of God reaches the Source, you have Daniel’s results. The key is overcoming the gravity of need, to pull away from the need, which is triumphing over gravity. Those who do not overcome earth gravity are "skull bumpers" or "ceiling bumpers" in prayer. When your sight draft touches the Substance of Faith in prayer, it forms a mold that fills with God as Substance. When prayer reaches the Source in fervency, then it is the lighter for an explosion. Prayer is the builder of molds, the carrier of your faith. The minute God’s Power enters, He has answered your prayer with a bomb of Light. Light contains all the ingredients to start healing action in physical cells or in your affairs. Your need creates a path for Light, Power and Substance to fill the mold and become visible as you ascend in joy to the Source. Healing will be absent in any spot still lacking God’s full life. A miracle is a natural law accelerated to fill any void instantly with the Faith of God. You set aside time and space to have a miracle. You can reach the timeless, spaceless Source only in complete fervency as the Faith of God. A miracle accelerates a process into a completed act, which is the difference between speed and delay. A process includes thoughts that distract you and keep you inside your skull. Don’t make a production of entering the Golden Silence. Move up! Love God enough. Act from above! The act of a miracle is to say, "Father, possess me. Here I AM. I love you with all my heart, mind and soul," and ascend to the Source. All your life you’ve used words to enter the Golden Silence. Heaven has records of all your all your lengthy prayers, the "vain repetitions" that you must listen to in the Hall of Records. By helping others, you can release enough love to erase those records. You don’t need a lengthy process of words to get to God, just go in love and kneel at His feet. Praise God in all you do on three levels at once, subsoul, egoic soul and Oversoul. Go about your business and tell God you are always looking and listening for the next miracle. It becomes a delicious delight to give God a problem and watch for the way He is going to solve it. When you love God enough, you become enthralled with life, but you cannot have idle words. What are you going to do? Whom are you going to serve? God or self? When you ask for a miracle, you pray and thank the Father for its fulfilment in His way. Some miracles are speedy, and some are slow, according to the fervency of your asking. A process will result in a miracle, but it is a low, slow vibration. Action is a high, fast vibration that sets aside time and space. How do you set aside time and space? Say, "This is wonderful," and know that it is God bestowing His touch of perfection. God will show you what He can do when you ask with all your love. How great is your ALL? All Light, all Love, all Faith, all Glory? How much of yourself is in that all? If you have doubt or fear, you are missing part of that all. God needs your greatness. Your imagination must be vivid, flaming, one that never gives in to the outer appearance. Ignore the lowered vibration. Say, "I vow to ignore the truth of appearance and to accept, surrender and declare the truth of reality." The greatness of the Law, the Power is unlimited. How great is your place? Make it greater by loving God. Say, "My sense of greatness makes the expression of Law through me great." Right now this world is ascending. Someday the world will be one great fellowship. You can suffer your way to it, or you can travel in joy. The rate of vibration of the prayer, low or high, determines the time elapsed between prayer and the explosion of Light for a miracle. The fervency of prayer determines how fast Power and Light acts. A slow miracle is a process. A slow miracle for the body on earth means your fervency hasn’t reached the point of an explosion. The healing action in a physical body is the same, whether under a slow process or a speedy miracle. The outer physical sheath is composed of cells, the desire body of molecules, the mental body of atoms. All detriments of the subconscious mind manifest within the desire body. All Power and your gains manifest within the mental body. When the explosion comes, it releases enough Power to inflate the mental body atoms and desire body molecules. The highest vehicle is the fire body, composed of electrons. Most people have to see to believe. A million small prayers to the Father are a million tiny sight drafts. Power finally fills the fire body and may linger there. When it finally seeps through into the mental body, you feel a little better. When Power touches the desire body, you become inspired to add fervency to your prayers. A miracle is instantaneous, the opposite of a process. The Substance of Faith is the lifespark. The finest grade of Substance as lifesparks does the healing. All physical healing depends on the inflation of the mental body atoms through praise and the three higher breaths. [We inhale seven grades of Substance in one deep physical breath. The three highest grades are the breaths of the Creator.] To step out in absolute Faith is an act of daring. Presume that a miracle is on its way. Presumption is to dare to act on Faith in Vision. The Oxford English Dictionary says that a miracle is a "remarkable specimen of impudence." A miracle is an act of daring, to believe to see, acting on the pure Faith of God. God will not be mocked, but He loves it when you dare. Leave fear behind and dare to be impudent enough for a miracle. The greatest gift we can bring to God’s Altars is Faith. We achieve such Faith only through prayers of devotion. A prayer of devotion is the essence of two things, Surrender and Forgiveness. We cannot pray to the Source without surrendering and forgiving, and their depth depends on our fervency. Surrender is a preparation for prayer. We become selfless through surrender to become a servant of all Power. Give Love for every debt you’ve charged to others. Forgiveness means to give up resentment. Forgiveness of others is the opening quality of our prayer. The quality of prayer depends upon forgetting our enemies. When we think of our enemies, it is a process. When we think of negative things to pour love upon, we are under process. "Why has this happened to me?" is the ogre with a club ready to wreck your dreams. What is "little me" going to do about it? Don’t ask why. Just get busy and clean up the mess! How stupid it is to let others’ actions provoke us to idle words. Silence under blame relates to this. We did not do the act, but if we attracted blame, we created its inner form through idle words. To surrender, to give love for, to forget, precipitates the explosion of Light! We need four stages of forgiveness for a miracle. First, you must forgive yourself, getting rid of self-blame. "Father, I know not what I do but don’t tell me." This is the "I’ll try" stage. "Let me hide a little longer. No, I won’t ask for help. I must work this out alone." Here you may dream of descending a long stairway over an abyss. You cannot forgive another until you first forgive yourself. Second, you forgive others because you think you should. "Father, I’ll forgive him but he’d better not do it again." Prayers are warmer here because they introduce the need to forgive. You begin to give love for whatever comes, and resentment is coming to the surface to be skim-med off. You are warming to the point of surrender. Third, you forgive others because you know you must. "Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing to me" (or another). Prayer is gaining in fervor here. Sometimes you must call upon help or you retrogress. The quality of the composite group prayer vibration helps you ascend. Finally, you reach the full surrender and quality of being forgiveness. "Father, forgive me, lest I cause my brother to stumble." Here you are becoming forgiveness. You are giving Love for everything. You know, and Faith possesses you for full surrender to be possessed by God’s Power. Forgiveness is a series of small acts. Finally we reach Job’s level when he said, "Though You slay me, I will still declare Your glory." We ascend from self to humility and meekness of spirit that anchors us to Heaven. We become a citadel of strength on earth, a sleeping giant who can burst into life. We may not make demands while we wait through our "six days of creation." We have no room for self-gratification or self-satisfaction. Decree in Faith that you are ready to be promoted. "I am ready for a new position. I am ready for a miracle." The first step is entering the greatness of God’s Power and acceptance to become its transformer. Then think, picture and let. What we can dream of doing for ourselves is part of "all these things shall be added to you." Ask once, then think and imagine. Praise God, and thank Him that He is filling your mold. Faith is our only conduction rod to the Source for prayer, and our fervor determines the height our prayer will reach. The stronger our faith, the longer our conduction rod. The higher our prayers reach, the greater the bomb of Light released, the speedier the results, the more wonderful the miracle. Anything is possible to the Lord. Choose well. Be generous with God and He will be generous with you. Plan greatly. Think magnificently of God’s bounty, of His desire for your happiness, your perfection. Think of His wealth of ability to do. Nothing is impossible to God. Believe! Act as if you already have your desire. Cultivate the habit of acting as if you are already what you desire to be and already have what you need, which is the full secret of a miracle. "I AM now accepting my great service. I AM now accepting my great position. I AM now accepting my full responsibility. I AM become a good shepherd. Thank You, Father, You always say yes!" Any miracle, speedy or slow, is the result of much previous "thinking about" and "planning for." Every thought, every picture-image, every desire, surely builds toward your outer visible miracle. Allow Universal Mind to flow through you freely. Let Christed consciousness possess you. Then, and only then, can Power step in fully to quicken and vitalize. You soon feel it in every cell of the body, and in all your affairs. The only tools you use, the only tools you shall ever have or require, are your consuming flame of Desire, vivid Imagination, and divinely bestowed faculty of Thinking. God never rebukes, reprimands or chastens the Elect. God just gives us opportunities to offer our most precious gifts of self. He gives us the opportunity of learning courtly expressions and attitudes from Heavenly Sources. Thank God that He has made the price great so that people cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven for free. "Beloved, now are you the Sons and Daughters of God and it does not yet appear what you shall be." God deserves the best! How
Can I Help Myself? We must know how to help ourselves. We must be the Father and Mother within ourselves. All seven mystery schools teach this. We must understand ourselves to help ourselves. Jesus’ philosophy was "heal thyself." Socrates called this "know thyself." We may understand ourselves in this trinity: God, man, myself. We function on three levels: subsoul and subconscious mind, egoic soul and conscious mind, and Oversoul and superconscious mind. Soul uses mind as its tool of expression. Subsoul uses the subconscious to rebuild and protect the physical body. Egoic soul uses the conscious mind through the mental faculties of logic, reason, discrimination, discretion and discernment. Oversoul functions from the Source and uses superconscious mind to maintain our adoration before the Throne of God. The most important function is a perfect relationship between the Oversoul and superconscious mind. We work under three unmodified Fundamental Principles — Equilibrium, Harmony and Balance — to apply Secondary Laws. If we do not work under these three great Principles while using practical psychology, they remain unmodified, unavailable for our use. Equilibrium is "the state of equal balance among all parts of a complex unity." Harmony is the "combination or adaptation of parts, elements or related things, to form a consistent orderly whole, agreement, accord and congruity." Balance means "stability or steadiness due to the equilibrium prevailing among all forces of a situation, to bring or to maintain in equilibrium." High Balance under the Emanations, then, is maintaining Harmony and Equilibrium. These Principles coordinate mind, imagination and emotions as perfect "knowing," which is a blend of "seeing" and "hearing." Imagination is the most unruly faculty. Emotion is the only unruly phase. We cannot "see" or "hear" from above without this coordination of nerves and muscles. "Knowing" forms a Rod of Power from the inner to the outer, and coordinates nerves and muscles with the higher faculties of "seeing" and "hearing." Functioning Power is a coordination of mind, imagination, emotions, seeing, hearing, nerves and muscles. Power is usable by us now as kinetic energy, which is Power doing the "greater works." We cannot have perfect health without this overall coordination. The Law of Words is accuracy. "Obey the Law and live." We use words as creative tools in harmony with the Holy Spirit. God is Spirit and we may not tempt Him with inaccurate words. Accuracy is the keynote of Harmony. Therefore, for more beautiful speech, seek greater accuracy in words. When we begin to slip with sharp words, anger or resentment, we upset our coordination with Harmony. The Law says, "Agree with God and adjust to man." Oversoul always agrees with God. We adjust subsoul and egoic soul to agree with our Oversoul. The next thing we lose is Equilibrium, a vibration that originates in the Harmony of being on the right life chord. Finally, we lose outer Balance, which is standing firm and steady, not wobbling around weak-kneed. The whole process of helping ourselves is learning to let go of conflict and let God, as all the Power, do the work. We have perfection when we have touched this unified coordination. How do we hit the high point of coordination to reach our goals? By becoming an extension of God, by doing all we are doing without thinking, or trying. Our mind becomes an extension of the Mind of God. The whole process is spiritual. I never descend from my High Place. I become absorbed in Light. We must be the Mind, Substance and Power of God doing the work for which He created us. Yank your subsoul back up. Stand straight, extend your arms as high as you can and say, "Father, move in and possess me." Reach out, scoop all Soul Substance you misused as blame and declare, "Father, let this be lifted, ascended and purified." Do this for others, too. If you descend, do it all again and say, "Father, let this be cleansed forever. Use me, Father, heart, mind, soul and body in Thy service." Power enters as fast as the heart center can take it. Spiritually stated, physical health is rhythmic acceleration of the atomic vibration in physical cells perfectly coordinated with Power in Love and Law in Harmony. How
Can I Apply Law to My Life? Faith is precise Principle and operates under exact Law. Faith is exact Law in action. One can pray for help, have a miracle yet know nothing about Law. Later he may pray, have no miracle and blame God. He prayed fervently with faith and praise the first time, Power descended and God healed him. The second time he was just a "ceiling bumper." Great faith and fervor in prayer can bring a miracle, but we need more than just words. We must comply with fundamental Primary Law and have faith in the Kingdom of God. We must know Law and be Law to have a miracle every time. Full knowledge of Law empowers us to ascend. The first Law to apply is "Seek first the kingdom." We hold our mind on the Kingdom of Heaven to touch the hem of His garment. Our fervor touches the hem — not need, but fervor. We include everything in our kingdom of perfection when we pray. We do not anticipate what we will do after the miracle comes, for that diverts our intensity and we no miracle results. We must know God and how He operates. Don’t waste time wishing you had studied or knew more about Law. Don’t waste time thinking about it, think about the Father. Lift it to the Father. "Father, move in and possess me now!" We can never be outside God’s kingdom is the Law of Omnipresence, a Primary Law based on Fundamental Principle. Many who are unaware of this Law want to be "converted." We have no place else to go. Wherever we go, we are in the now. We can have no "inner" other than where we are right now. Don’t waste time thinking about being in the kingdom. Where else could we go? "If I dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall thy hand lead me and thy right hand shall hold me" (Psalm 139:9-10). I know that I am in the Kingdom of Heaven here and now. To doubt this is as if you were to feel foreign at home, a stranger — like standing in the living room and asking God, "Where is my home? Please lead me home." When we feel lost or alone, we are not holding to this first Law of Life. Our Father is just upstairs. We are now in the Kingdom of Heaven. "I AM at home in the kingdom, being and becoming in the kingdom, here and now." This is the most important Law to know and to apply, and is always ready to work instantly when we are conscious of it. Faith Enough? Is God everywhere evenly present and available? Do I believe this? Do I know this now? Am I sure? Can I leave anything out of faith? Any part of God? "God is everywhere evenly present and available in all His parts, potentialities and qualities" is a metaphysical statement of faith in God’s omnipresence. No particle anywhere in the universe is lacking God. He is present and available in all lifesparks of Substance. Lifesparks fill the Emanations, endowed from the Source. The Mother of Love, Father of Wisdom and Son of Energy fill the universe held within a magnetic wall that radiates from the Source. Everything consists of lifesparks. God gives the Living Soul the power of conscious direction and control over Substance, the primordial essence of which God has made all things. God gives Substance the power to become. "Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Faith is unconscious lifesparks in inanimate objects. However, "faith without works is dead." Therefore, the Living Soul’s expression of faith must be conscious. Just to know about faith is not enough. We must know what faith is, how it works, where to find it, how to use it. What happens between asking and the fulfillment of prayer? Whatever we ask for, we must visualize, picturing Substance as a physical, emotional or mental possession. How do I visualize? We must have an image in mind before we can ask, which is visualizing. If we imagine in a fuzzy way, no Light exposes our brain cells’ "negative." When we ask "in my name believing," we have it. Like so many of the Master’s statements, those that seem so mystical are the most practical. The minute you picture it, it is in your possession. People practice visualization in three ways. Some people build a mold, obsessively love it, then do not want it when they get it. Many build a mold of belief, fill it with doubt and let it go before they get it. Successful people build their molds with Love and Wisdom, then hold in faith until it comes. Is faith enough? Yes. Faith must be enough because it is all Wisdom, Love, Joy and Power. These are enough, but they cannot remain static as just "words" and do anything. We need action. Faith with works is faith in action, in expression. Belief is passive, inadequate unless we actively express faith. We must put Mind into action as our expression, convert our beliefs into one bundle of faith we put into action. Mind must act upon faith in a creative, all-inclusive way. When we use and put all faith in action, it is enough. Love the mold, or faith, as you are using it, will not be enough. Faith will not work for you unless you know what it is and how it works. You have a "sometimes" faith: "I don’t know what I’ve done wrong! It worked before, why doesn’t it work now?" You must visualize it properly, and love it enough. Faith builds the mold, Love sustains it and Praise keeps it in action. Love the people connected with your mold. Love it because you have it spiritually, mentally and emotionally already, or you starve it. Faith is one name of Spiritual Substance, but it is not the Mind that creates and acts. Faith is Light in action as Spiritual Substance. Light is One as the Emanations: Faith is Light in action as Spiritual Substance that becomes. Faith is the lifesparks, energized to become whatever you visualize, declare and ask for in love. Love is the adhesive, cohesive Power of the universe that brings together the lifesparks and inflates them to become solid, visible form. Love is in faith but the Living Soul, which has the power of conscious direction and control must express Love. Nothing becomes visible without Love. The Word is the Emanation of the Logos as Joy, Surrender and Selflessness that take us to the Source. Use the Word! Use Joy. Use Surrender. Use Selflessness. We derive the fundamental Principle of Light from the Emanations. Light manifests as four fundamental Principles: Color, Tone, Number and Name (Form). Light is the Three-as-One (Father of Wisdom, Mother of Love, Son of Energy) expressing as Mind, Substance and Power, One Light. Faith is the great coordinator of Ascension. All religions from the lowest to the highest are based on Inspiration, Aspiration, Devotion and Faith. Faith inspires us to look up. Faith causes us to aspire to something greater than self and when we find this goal, we express faith in it and faith-full devotion to it. Faith, the Principle of Omnipresence, is man’s expression of hope and aspiration on earth. Faith challenges the Living Soul to "believe to see." Faith, as the pioneering spirit, creates a bold, unwavering conqueror. Faith carries us from God as Light, into outer expression as form, and back to God. We can have faith in ourselves because we are the Faith of God. Now we can trust God because we trust ourselves. Realization
Through Praise "Let your requests be made known to God" means to ask, not demand of God. Supplication and thanksgiving were Paul’s kind of prayer. The disciples knew Jesus’ formula for prayer, which is based on the Love of God. They knew about Power and the descent of the Holy Ghost, so they prayed for greater comprehension of Law. Two dynamic Laws, rejoicing and praise, encompass this. Rejoicing raises our rate of vibration. Joy ascends us to a high point of appreciation, and realization that God is all Joy. If you want to pray the kind of prayer to bring the answers through, rejoice and ascend to this place of glory. Do not be full of care when you "come to me," nor full of doubt. Move up and love brings everything into outer expression. Rejoicing ascends you to a high point of appreciation for the answers to come through. Rejoicing, which opens all doors, and lifts you above the world’s idiocies. God becomes real, and you are so full with rejoicing that your body simply does not contain it. Illumination is an explosion from the toes upward that we evoke in prayer and the ecstasy of knowing God. We reach Illumination only under rejoicing. "If there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things." If we are to pray the prayer that gets things done, we must prepare the way by rejoicing. We must think of God as our Father, as Jesus said, someone who understands us in all we do: good, bad or indifferent, even when we miss the mark of our high calling. You go up, up, up in bursting glory where prayers are efficacious. That is prayer. "Be anxious for nothing" means do not be full of cares, worries, doubts or fears when you go to God. Move up when you feel yourself slipping, and grab for the armor of God. Surrender the anxieties, ascend and think of God, not outer stupid things. Care not, even when someone reviles or despitefully uses you. "It is impossible but that offenses will come." When people offend us, it’s because they are not doing what we want. Do not expect one who always forgets birthdays and anniversaries to remember them. God gives humanity free choice. It is no use weeping over another’s offenses. Go up on praise; it is our only chance to release evil from the world. Have joy enough to ascend above it and your prayer lifts the evil from up there! You cannot do it when you are an almost-hardly! The Father must use the Substance we release to lift us. Each gives according to what is in his heart. Love enough. Love brings forth every dream and hope of life, and we will watch love transform others before our eyes. Be alive. Prayers broadcast the Love of God. If someone needs a promotion or an increase in salary, a good treatment is, "Get ready! Here I come! My raise is on its way." To treat for an election, say, "Get ready! The Fathers are on the march! Justice shall prevail." Make a joyful declaration. "Watch out below! Love bombs are falling!" Love carries us from the past into a future of Power and Illumination. The minute you sink down, nothing happens. Love works only if you let it. The old idea of supplication prayer was to beg, wheedle and entice. A prayer of supplication says we need more Light, joy and love, even outer added things. A supplication is a petition: "Let your Power fill me to overflowing for every need and my service in the world. Let Light fill me with more Illumination, more health. Lord, help my unbelief. Wipe out my doubts and fears." If you want God to sign your petition in His heart, you must present it in love backed with peace. Paul identifies the "peace of God, which passes all understanding." This means that peace is above understanding. Peace is the essence of inner quiet and confidence, not stagnation, but a "do something" peace. If you have a desire, you start a vibration of activity. If you really want peace, start a vibration of giving. Understanding means, "I stand under the Light. As Light descends, all things come to me." We must stand squarely under the Light as a rod of Power. Your very desire to have something immediately puts you under the Light. How much Light descends depends on the quality and quantity of your enthusiasm. How great is your desire for the Light? How greatly do you desire to have the full Light of God come through? Most people have little time for prayer or God. To many, prayer is a lifeless daily repetition. Take time to be quiet, not. To go blank, but to wait upon the Lord. Stop and consider the beauty of the Lord. "Be still and know that I am God." Be quiet, and the Light will descend, more or less, depending on you. Give it a chance, just a little more rejoicing and love as it sweeps away the debris and frees you. Light gives us great confidence and trust in our ability to stand and know. When you stand at the mystical point between the outer vibration and Ascension, the Power and Love show. People may call you egotistical because they misunderstand the Power, but when you release more love, love is all they see. The Power of God touches everyone here, in our homes, wherever we go. Fill all your destinations with a sun center of Light. The difference between failure and success is soul-confidence versus self-confidence. We move from self-confidence into trust in God and the power to become. "I AM created for Power to use. The greater a servant of Power I am, the more Power moves through and uses me." Confidence in God gives you the assurance that God is doing the work. Those who lack confidence that God is using them begin to grow a sense of failure. They come home disgusted with their day’s efforts, and lock half their souls in the office for the weekend. They are so full of care, and they have nothing left to give at home. Treat daily for your whole office until it is a sun center of Light. Declare that everyone is touched with a Sphere of Light: "He is touching your brain cells to be alive." We need coordination for soul-confidence of God. Reach for the feeling of soul coordinating with the physical. We move through confidence to a place of automatic thankfulness. We must be thankful for what has been, for what is, and for what is to come. We have praised and prayed, we have offered our petition of supplication under thankfulness, the truth, the honor of God above all things, the justness of God. We look upon only the good. When you receive something negative, don’t blame the other fellow. You can receive only what you send forth. You sent forth the vibration, and it came home to roost. The Law of God is just and perfect. The reaction is perfect and complete. If it were not for God’s forgiveness, none of us could bear the weight of our blame and self-righteousness. It doesn’t pay to live with your soul at half mast. Escape is no help, only moving up to confidence in Power, to "I AM loves you," sets you free. Praise and rejoicing will lift your soul. You can see another move up as you say, "I AM is lifting you." Are you a sausage-linker or do you praise constantly? Invoke the power of beauty into your life. Meditate on these things — the symphony of nature, all good. When you hold this beautiful feeling inside, people begin to seek you. Power puts the right words on your lips and all good things are added, promises are fulfilled. Light is all beauty. The minute you get that beautiful feeling, call your sheep by name. Every good thought or deed forms a cloud of loveliness and beauty. You have so much past good out there, haven’t you taken back enough ugliness? Call home your sheep of love and beauty, not the black sheep of negativity. Paul said, "Rejoice! Again I will say, rejoice!" Stand under the Light in the quiet and confidence of God’s life. Peace will fill you with peace. "The peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Peace is above understanding, which is the Light descending. When you work for peace from the outside, you get more conflict to conquer, but when you ascend to peace, it descends on you. You will have confidence in God’s love and Light. Most of all, you will never again call yourself a name. "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Prayer is love that catches you up in its arms today and lands you safely tomorrow. Ours is a God of riches "according to His glory" to bestow on us. Today’s praise is tomorrow’s glory. God loves to bestow gifts, so ask! Praise is the Power of God Himself moving through your affairs. All things respond to the call of rejoicing. All things gather where love is a song of joy or laughter. Call your good sheep home. Cover your family with Light. Call them "my joy and my crown." "Here I come. God fills this house with glory. I AM is enveloping them. Dear God, build the Light around them so thickly that I cannot see them anymore. All I will see is the Master’s face on the Mount of Transfiguration." How
Do I Wait Upon the Lord? How do I wait upon the Lord? I ascend. I enter my room of Light, prepared for me in my Father’s House. I wait upon the Lord as I stand in the Light coming from above, while I work out my salvation here. The keynote of waiting is action. To "wait" means to be a waiter, to pay attention, to give courtesy and service with consideration. I make myself good and the other fellow happy. I give God the consideration of my love. I pay attention with my Oversoul, always conscious that I am plugged in up there. If we are going to stand in the House of the Lord, we must be concerned with our relationship to God. I compare myself with God. Standing in the Light, I see my taints and run from my room of Light into darkness. When we turn our back on Light, all is darkness, so we must run back to the Light. God never said we cannot return ninety-nine times or as often as necessary. Say, "Here I am! Let Light cleanse me, Father!" All we do is keep reaching for Light. Jesus said, "In my Father’s house are many mansions and I go there to prepare a place for you." Keep at it. Don’t leave your room of Light. Work from your room of Light in the House of the Lord. How do we wait upon the Lord? Our words condition our life. Life cannot condition our words. The Word conditions our life. Life cannot touch us! I AM cannot be conditioned by little self, imagination, desire or choice. I AM is! People can condition their bodies to pain if they choose. An escape artist can ache himself sick to avoid something. Or we can condition our bodies to health. What is your desire? How very easy it is to heal pain – stop enjoying it. How very difficult it is to heal the cause of pain. We constantly recondition ourselves either to pain or to Glory. We can condition our mind with these statements: "I AM now fills me with Light. I AM now sees me whole. Here I am Father, move in and possess me, cleanse me. I am now at home. I am now in the kingdom. I am the Love of God, I AM. I am the Wisdom of God, I AM. I AM loves you. I AM THAT I AM." Increase
Through High Prayer High prayer consists of praise, prayer and singing. A statement is good, but puts nothing into action because it doesn’t have the Light and Glory of prayer. Sitting in a chair and just speaking is good, but is not enough. Statements are good – they show you believe in God and can bring peace, but they will not bring you to the exaltation of high prayer. Low prayer to the self is just above the creature stage, then comes prayer for others. Thousands of miles of statements through weeks or months can bring a miracle, but you can have an instant miracle through high prayer. You accomplish high prayer only when you love God with all your heart, mind and soul. The heart’s desire must flame and burn. Your mind and thinking cannot be on outside trivia, but on God. "With all your soul" means your vision is focused on heaven, not earth. Every strong, vitalized, quickened thought, every burning desire is a prayer. Jesus said, "Lazarus, come forth!" in a loud voice. "Father, you always hear me. Glorify me with that glory that was in the beginning." Love moves in through prayer, praise and gratitude, and quickens faith. Praise opens the vibration of activity for a miracle. All the Substance required is in your Soul Star – the Father fills your Star from your first moment of yearning. The declaration, "Let these words come to life," vitalizes and quickens the prayer. Praise starts the lifesparks in the fire body whirling to affect the physical body until you stand on the Mount of Transfiguration, and your face shines like the sun. We, to gain this conviction, must use praise and song, as Paul and Silas did. A vibration, to shatter glass or walls, must be continuous, but a cool or even a fervent statement won’t do it. It takes praise. Do we praise and thank God daily for each body member? "Thank You, Father. You are building my New Age eyes." One day you will forget your glasses. They will throw you away. It’s the same with cigarettes. Praise absorbs subconscious opposition. Praise starts pouring the Substance of your Star into your molds. Praise pulls the starter cord on the motor of your life and affairs. We may sputter along for a while, but enough praise automatically bursts into singing as the Glory of God made manifest. You can praise and sing in your soul. Singing brings forth high vision. Nothing on earth can resist the power of a singing soul, which is God Himself in action. Evil shrinks away from the singing soul. The walls fall down, and the bonds of self fall apart. You become, just as did the prisoners, untouchable and immovable under the Light of God. The prisoners symbolize the small parts of the little self. When you awaken aching, you know your high vision has fallen overnight. God is deathless, ageless and abiding, and when your soul is singing, so do you. Nothing bothers a singing heart and soul. All negativity dissolves. When a patient does not respond to prayer, sing your prayer and praise. Finally your wordless song rises to the Source, a wondrous feeling. Expect the Father’s o’ershadowing. Expect His everlasting arms to uphold you. Fervency, love for God, praise, singing, music opens the door of heaven. Praise is the glory, and your singing takes you to the Source. A great abyss lies between a truth and the Truth. Truth is God in action. Thousands build their lives on a tiny portion of the Truth of God. Principle moves through and uses us as personality. We can’t leave anything out of Truth. If you say, "I have the truth," you challenge God, and Truth shows you up if you do not live up to it. You can have the whole Truth only when you have surrendered all self. Crucifixion is what happens when you forget to surrender. The floodgates to your Father’s abundance open when you’ve paid your debts. Man, as the knower, must know more; that is the Law. He knows one truth today and learns another tomorrow. Paul and Silas knew the Truth. The vibration of the Living God is now moving through man. A little bit of Truth streamed through the atomic bomb. The whole Truth is in the atom itself. It is true that God IS. Paul and Silas knew what to do while they sat fettered in great discomfort for five or six hours. They complied with the Trinity of Laws and Principles that invoke miracles. They prayed, sang and released such Power that it broke their bonds and opened doors. The Power released such Light and Glory that no one could see to escape, so they converted the jailer’s family and prisoners. The magistrates were frightened. The populace begged to release them and get them out of the city. Paul sent word that he was a Roman citizen, so the magistrates came personally to free them. The Truth to Paul and Silas was to invoke the Power consistently and continuously until it worked. They followed the Plan of Truth for a Miracle. How do we follow the plan? Have you ever fixed your attention on God for twenty-four hours? The Plan of Truth for a Miracle has three steps: You start it, you follow it through, and you have the result – otherwise, it isn’t a plan. If you don’t follow through, it isn’t a plan. You usually don’t follow through until the result comes, so you just have an idea of a plan. This is why we don’t get results. We need intestinal fortitude. You won’t start until you’ve made a definite choice. Do you want all the Truth operating in your life? People are afraid of the whole Truth of the Living God. It’s too overwhelming. A tiny little truth that makes you quit in the middle can ruin your life. You go lukewarm and ask, "Where is God?" God is just where He was before. Follow through – you’ll have no results if you stop halfway. The result is your fulfillment. Believe in God’s invincibility. Prayer grabs God’s coattails and hangs on. When the world overwhelms you until you can’t think, say, "This, too, shall pass." Truth is faith. The Power of Love is more powerful today. "Greater works than these will you do" is truth in action through you as personality. The amount of Truth you express is how much God you put in action. Nothing is ever lost. You may flop on a test, yet God credits you for the effort. Love God enough. Just keep on and on. Build strength in one small effort after another until you achieve greatly. Gird your loins and take the next step. We never really fail; God always promotes us. If you meet failure on this path, success awaits you on another. God keeps you going on a spiral upward. Don’t squinch hopes and plans, or say, "I’m through. I’m old." I shall just begin at eighty. Time cannot grow old. Live time the right way and you cannot grow old. Time is filled with the greatest of ideas. We still have time to write the great book, paint the great picture, greater works to manifest. The sun, moon and stars do not age. God does not age. When you see nothing on the outer, the Father is blinding you for Illumination. Wait on the Lord and locks and doors will burst open. Your plan is your choice. Stand and see the whole truth. Praise and sing in the darkness. Come to the point of fulfillment as you add joy, truth and love to your plan. Then you enjoy time, one day after another. The
Ladder of Faith The Lord’s Prayer is our ensample of prayer for all ages, and covers all the avenues of life in eight phases: 1. Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 2. Thy kingdom come. 3. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 4. Give us this day our daily bread. 5. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 6. Lead us not into temptation. 7. Deliver us from evil. 8. Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. "Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name." Every nation has an equivalent of the Our Father. We invoke Him when we say, "Our Father in heaven." If the whole world talked about our Father, we could have no false gods. We are all one. With this phrase, we knock on the door to heaven. "Thy kingdom come." What is your idea of being in heaven with the Father? Is it to be happy and make the other fellow good? Your job is to be good and make the other fellow happy. You can ask for a raise today but it may be a bad day for the boss. Fill your boss’s office with Light before you enter. Ascend above the mundane vibration, to the Source of God. How big is your heaven? How big is your reward? Like a mustard seed that will grow into a mighty tree? Like leaven that causes a loaf to rise? Love fills a room like leaven causes bread to rise. Love fills a family when we love enough. Leaven thoroughly permeates bread, as our Father permeates us. You get leaven to work by kneading it, then deflating it so it can inflate again. You pummel it to mix it thoroughly and cause it to rise. When life pummels you, God is preparing you to expand. Life needs to deflate you before you are any good. This hurts, but it is to our glory. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." What is the will of God? It is Wisdom expressing as absolute perfection, a Principle flowing through the River of Life, all Power to do, with free will. Choice is free but the results of our exercise of free will depend on how we choose. We can choose to let it go forth as the Love of God or love of self. When you use Will as your great faculties of Determination and Steadfastness, it stiffens your spine to bear the difficulties of earth, not like a rod of brittle iron, but like a willow that is strong yet pliable. The spine is your Rod of Power. Is yours stiff and brittle? One who injures his back has used Will for the self. "Give us this day our daily bread." If you ask for something next June and not for this day, what will you have today? Nothing. Today’s good will be spread thinly on next June’s slice. Put your plans on clouds of Light. Arrange different prayer molds on different clouds. Keep your molds for future months separate from today’s. Pray for this day’s good first. Don’t let anything "fog" your molds. Pray for this day’s good. Keep your future molds polished and fill them at other times. Doing these prayer steps in the wrong way delays your miracles. "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." After the Master taught the Lord’s Prayer, he said that if we forgive the debts others owe us, our Father will forgive our debts. Pouring love on everyone is necessary. Live as the Christ would live, and imagine that you are Christed. God cannot forgive us if we still charge a debt of blame or guilt to ourselves. If you can’t declare that Light absorbs the past, you haven’t forgiven your debtors. Debts blossom when you want someone else to pay them. God cannot forgive us if we still charge a debt of blame or guilt to ourselves or others. What you have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. "Father, forgive my debts" is self-thinking that blocks your good. "Father, forgive me" is the prescription. "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." God never leads us into temptation, but we lead ourselves with self-thinking and devotion to subsoul. Do not blame yourself for the past, just ascend high enough to lift the force you’ve created to the Altar. Grab negative thoughts, ascend them and change them into Light. Every day we cry, "Father, deliver me!" Every day He delivers us from something, from the one small thing we do to our million stupidities. He delivers us all the time from ourselves, from our own self-created evils. For everything we do lift, He lifts us miles and delivers us. He makes us remember to return and finish the things we’ve left undone. God speaks to us as our conscience. "For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever." Prayer builds your ladder of faith, rung by rung, when you stand firm. Faith is the expression of love that makes things visible. Faith builds our love into visibility then keeps it working. Prayer is too often a one-sided affair. Many reach the Golden Silence and may stay there all day, but complain that they don’t hear God’s Voice. To "see" and "hear" you must listen. High prayer tunes you to God’s broadcasting station. Train your ears until you rev your hearing up to a higher band. Say, "Here I am, God." Say, "Over," as aviators do, then listen. When
Prayer Is at Work True Love is the only integrative power that establishes your identity with God. Prayer holds your oneness of identity with God. If enough of us established our personal identity with God, we could pray as Creators to work out God’s ideas in Love, and lift the whole world. The Power released today, as compared with Jesus’ time, is like contrasting a jet plane with a camel. The Power now is so much greater that people report miracles and healing the world over. Prayer is always working. Our Father neither slumbers nor sleeps. Our motto is "Not I, but my Father does the work." "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." So continue praising no matter whether your prayer seems to be working. You must offer successful prayer on a Love vibration, because Power works on the level of your consciousness. Most people ask two questions regarding prayer: How do I know my method of prayer is working? How do I know if I am praying the right way? Ask yourself these questions: Is what I am praying for what I really want? Is my prayer selfish? How can I know if my prayers are good? Does God dare to answer prayers for me? Am I willing to be the kind of person God can use and trust, for whom He desires to answer prayers? How do I know my prayers are spiritually legal? Can I stand and say, "Thank You, Father," when the right answer to prayer comes? Is this what I really want? When St. Augustine left for Rome, his mother prayed that God would stop him. God did not answer her prayer. God does not answer prayer to make you feel good. This mother was selfish, dictating to God, playing God. In one year, Augustine met St. Ambrose who made a man of the callow youth. St. Augustine became one of the greatest of saints. Do you want what you are praying for? Are you wording your prayer as a thank you? Say to God, "Pray for me and through me, so that Your Power expresses as me," and declare the Power of God is filling you. Are you praying for what you think someone else should have? Put each person on a cloud, declare perfection and all that God wants for him. "Let Illumination move through him to awaken his mind and heart." Do not look around to see if God is answering your prayer, or you tear it to pieces. Leave it to God. Do you know when your prayers are spiritually legal? They are when you pray for God to do the work and preface your requests and declarations with "let." Am I a person God can trust with answered prayers? No matter how God answers your prayer, despite the form it takes, can you stand and say, "Thank You, Father, this is good"? This is a person for whom God can answer prayer. Are we willing to give up manmade ideas of good and bad to say, "This is good" to each blow? All things work together for good for all those who work for Him and for His purpose. When you have had an answer to prayer, God has gathered all things up as one in Christ. He gives us time to pick up our cross-vibrations. How can we have perfection in our lives? The Psalmist said, "I shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever." The Master said, "In my father’s house are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for you." You have a room there – the mansion of soul, the golden bowl, the crown lotus center. When you live in the Higher Creative Center, it frees you of earth’s bedevilment. Some say, "Don’t bother God with little things." This attitude is abortive, since nothing is small. How can you bother God? Do you bother the water company when you ask them to turn on the water? Turning on light doesn’t bother the power company, so how can you bother God? God pours forth His Love. Go up to your room and stand under the Light in the House of the Lord. Your nerves expand in the warmth of the Love of God. Say, "This is my way of life." Then you know prayer works! You stretch out your arms saying, "Father, please touch all on my list." You have the power of choice in meditation. "I stand in the Light, not to meditate, but to contemplate the goodness and greatness of God, while Power is doing the work." Sitting in a chair and relaxing while praying is good, but be active, positive, loving and selfless in God. Do not use force. Name the person you would treat, not from the meditative peace to rest your nerves, but from on high, covered in Light as you speak the word. Light from the Source moves through you to stretch and to heal your nerves. Always pray from up there. You can speak the word from anywhere, or while you are working. Pray while you work. When you come to a rest period, pray and rest up. Then God holds you in the Heart of the Almighty. Leave it all to the Father in your prayers. Pray from a point of Light that is vital, then you feel warm and you know the work is done. Power goes forth to heal. Live in a state of high, contemplative, serene Poise, not armchair peace. Without
Shadow of Turning A deeply buried flowering bulb appropriates all Truth through an implanted divine urge, and reaches up to the sun. A bulb unconsciously calls on magnetic currents, minerals, moisture in the air to grow up to Light and produce its flower. Man’s equipment and creative tools are different. We do not have this urge, but we do have brain cells and faculties: Imagination, Thinking and Desire. With these three tools we may consciously appropriate all we need from God’s Mind, Power and Substance to condense Energy into Light as etheric currents to fill our molds. This is ours to use. How much of your heart have you devoted to the Love of God? The size of your love donation determines how much you will appropriate from your Divine Heritage. Our potential is limitless. We can awaken forty-four great soul faculties, but we usually use only three or four; Einstein used five. We can awaken every faculty and quality to express, but we may use them only to the Honor and Glory of God. Say, "Here I am Father. Move in and use me." We must awaken our burning Desire, which is our "heat of the sun." We must send forth God’s Love as Compassion for humanity. Love is brisk and firm, stands on Law and is compassionate, without blame. Then we can reach the point of knowing that we can "pray in faith, believing," and we have it. You can have only what is yours, according to the Substance in your Soul Star. You must learn the difference between demands and declarations. You can declare that you shall have a car, but not demand a certain car, because that is selfish. You get the car that your unselfish mold builds. "Oh, how I would love that car. Think how many friends I could take out in that car." See yourself giving others pleasure with your car. Do not make forceful demands. You cannot say, "God must answer this prayer." You can have only what is yours. This is true for everything. If you want to save your eyes, see God’s perfection and good. Love enough for this to manifest. Then healing can come, but not if you continue to see and declare evil. You already have health in the invisible. Act as if you have in the visible! Do everything possible for your body’s good. See yourself dancing on a cloud. This is how to possess health. Keep your imagination "up there" with God’s reality. Make you good while you make others happy, and don’t try to reform them. The Father of all lights puts the right words on our lips, and we can even say "no," gently yet firmly. A bulb represents the triple Principle of Expansion, Explosion and Expression. Move up to God. The instant you begin appropriating from God’s almighty Love, it expands your heart in Understanding and you will explode into growth. If you expand too quickly, you can explode like Humpty Dumpty, and you are left holding the pieces in self-pity. Yet it can turn out well if you pick up the pieces and go ahead. Pick up your lines and open a Paradise than any you have ever conceived of or imagined. Have you expanded enough to give the world greater gifts than you did twenty years ago? How much can you desire? We can draw on Light from above. Do not let your vibration die, or you’ll wind up on the skids, resting yourself to death. No one wants you then. God’s Power can produce more miracles than you can imagine. Use your potential powers to mature and ascend. When we expand, explode and express, it will light us from one Paradise to the next. You can see how great and vast this is in comparison to the silly self-pity or fear to which we cling. Think up. God is everywhere evenly present and available. Ask to have Divine Mind’s vibrations translated into words, believing you have it, with gratitude to God. Expansion, Explosion and Expression are your set of standards, the Code of Principles by which you hold your point, where you glance and the other fellow desists. Ask, believing you have it to receive, and enjoy it emotionally and mentally. You need ask only once. The rest is daily gratitude, praise and faith, which pours Substance into your mold and makes it overflow into outer manifestation. Have the sense of possessing something wonderful in the imaginary world, which is where all great things originate. You do not need to see how God engineers the vibration. Leave God’s work to God! Have a single mind. A double-minded man cannot receive anything from God. Make a choice and stick to it. If what comes is not right, say, "God, I love this. Now I’m waiting for the real thing." Life is generally an endurance race. To endure means to stand as love. Complying with the Law of Endurance is believing that Power works through us. Even an evil man, who believes he can do something, has faith in that. Your crown is your conscious identity with God. You know the Power you can draw on, and who you are. You know that you have credits and debts to pay, both here and over there, for you are a Son or Daughter of God. You are an heir to the kingdom if you comply with Law. This is your heritage. The
One Thing I Decree An edict is a decree or proclamation issued by an authority, having the force of law and the ability to enforce obedience. Obedience is compliance with law and commandments. Where do we get our authority to make a decree? From the Master, who said "Ask in my name," from the Father, and in the Bible. We do need edicts, which are our positive, constructive decrees. We must balance the scales in our decrees. Choose what you really want, make a decree, then hold to it without petty denials. If you deny, you do not have a miracle. We stand before the Master and say, "Lord, help me." He knows what you need without unnecessary explanation. What is the edict from your soul’s authority? Declare, "I am reaching for the high calling of Christ Jesus," but it must come from soul. "This is one thing I do now and I mean it." Avoid force in making statements or decrees. Your vibration of authority must have devotion, blamelessness, love, and the power of "Let." Move up into the Christ Mind of soul identity and speak from your soul. A new heaven and a new earth are within us. Your high thoughts go to the pool of prayer, and your low thoughts sift down as dirt to mop. We each face the tribunal of our own soul. "He who has eyes to see, let him see. He who has ears to hear, let him hear." One great edict for our lives is, "I have eyes to see with. I have ears to hear with," and this covers everything. You can tune in, if you listen from above. We can tune in on the Sermon on the Mount. A vision is seeing and hearing with the inner eye and ear. Every word from your lips is a decree. If you make it negative, if you blame, criticize and resent, you are using the Power of God outside the Law. Make up your mind that your edicts shall be of glory, and your path becomes Light, a high part of Vision. Loyalty Those who pray release the Power for God to work things together for good. Stand and declare a situation or a person is good, without wavering. All I can do is to stand in loyalty to statements made under honor, and God does the work. The prophets of old knew this Principle. They always ended their statements with, "It shall be so." Loyalty gives you the ability to stand on what you have said and what will happen, so you must not be disloyal to your own prayers. Most people make statements in honor, then speak disloyally two hours later. Stand in honor and loyalty despite those who say it cannot be done. Do what you know must be done, because God hears even one person who stands in honor. Do not pray "despite the world," or it is like the destruction of the fig tree. Pray because you know God hears prayer. Love God enough to stand in honor, believing God can bring prayer and statements to pass. To believe means to honor God. Love God enough and keep declaring it in the name of Jesus the Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God. Do not be disloyal to your own prayers. If you speak a statement of truth, then look back in doubt and fear, you are disloyal to God. The Power can make anything right. You cannot be faithful when you are disloyal to the Master. If you do not remain loyal to your declaration of "This is good," you cut your own lines. You can have no belief without loyalty backing honor and integrity. Honor, loyalty and integrity are the Son of Energy in action. If you stand, the Father justifies you and glorifies Himself through you. What
Is Illumination? When we accept responsibility, we go through the three stages of Receptivity, Flexibility and Balance. The two necessary qualities in mothering Love are listening and giving. A loving mother sleeps with one eye open, and listens under receptivity. She hears her child’s every sound. It is discourteous to God when you keep on praying for the "I wants" without listening to others’ needs. A listening attitude is essential. First, listen to God. Be alive, alert and afire with the Life of God. The Power using you is great, so make room for it! Be Receptive to others’ needs. Lift someone from the dirt, and put him on a cloud with mother love. Give of your inner beauties. The perfect words will be placed on your lips at the right time. You do not need to tell others that you pray, since it may offend some, but you can always lift them and let the Father do the work. The Love that we add helps the Father to heal them. Nothing comes to us that we cannot conquer. Stand and wait upon the Lord, no matter how long. Under flexibility, we learn that we need more of the brooding, yearning qualities, a desire to understand. Agree and adjust. Use the Socratic method and ask questions rather than saying, "You can’t do this" or "You are wrong." Draw him out, let him talk about his problem or desires, and often he no longer wants what he thought he did. You will receive enough kicks in life to keep you upright. Accept your need for flexibility and become balanced. Knowing that you stand in balance with your Guardian Angels upholding you is important. Keep saying, "Let the Light, Wisdom and Love of God possess me." Then you are filled with Light, because Wisdom and Love are illumined. Jesus said, "ask it in my name," believing you have it, and you will! What is the quality of your Faith? Is it filled with the Love of God? Keep on knowing that God cannot fail, for He is under the solemn obligation to fulfill His promises when you love enough. Listen, and give of your love freely and abundantly. Healing
Is Ascension Knowing what you are doing when you treat is important because you put a sight draft on Power. The Guards must fan the individual’s flame of Desire to be healed from above. Neither you nor God can ignite that Desire in their hearts. You dare not suggest that another be remade in your image and likeness when you pray. You dare only to put them on a cloud, see perfection, and declare that Power moves through them. Hold them there, hour by hour, and never cease releasing Power to and for them. The Father and their Guards must use the Substance we invoke. It could take thousands of years before Light has lifted and healed the person. Negative thinking separates Mind, Power and Substance. Continuing along this line of thought, we can easily see that what was Power above becomes force at a lower level. The Father of Lies and his dark ones can use force. This has caused wars. Declare, "Let Glory move through earth as never before." He who has vision to pray that God shall save earth becomes the focal point of great Power. We must take in the force and lift it. This is the only method God has to lift evil from earth. Force is Power misused on earth. When the Father releases great Power over earth, He must use an instrument whose body can release this Power, and step it down to a useable state of energy. "Let me be used" is a sight draft on Power. From the other side, the Christed Legions gather in the force of evil and ring it with an etheric wall that carries a two-way flow of Power, up and down. The currents meet and explode, which enables darkness to become Light. We must lift force, however, through a physical body. The entire process of Ascension is sacrificing the sovereignty of self for sovereignty of soul. "Oh doctor" and "Oh God" are both are spiritual calls for help. Nature is but a garment of God, not God Himself. Natural laws are garments of Divine Law. When savages call on a witch doctor, they are calling on God, because the witch doctor embodies their highest concept. The spiritual sovereignty of self fills us with doubt and fears that interfere with healing. Healing is a complete change of a present form into one that is higher. Healing is a dual process. We must call for something greater than self, looking up as we do it. Healing is Ascension, whether it is a visit to the doctor and taking pills or reaching the realm of pure Spirit. Healing is both a lowering of vibration from above and a lifting of a vibration from here. When the two vibrations meet, healing results. Some people pray, yet are not healed; they have faith, but allow the impossibilities of humanity to stop them. Ascension is living 100 percent by God’s possibilities. The world needs revolution to evolve from a stagnant state. We do not need this. We can build new molds, new forms. You can build the form of a new home in the ethers, no matter where you are. You can live in the kingdom of soul, or in the world. Put your least favorites on clouds and pray for them. Thus, you assume full responsibility, without bondage. Let nothing get through your cushioning wall of Light. To have a miracle, we must step up the thousandfold healing Power, which we direct by the spoken Word. Work with a burning desire and knowing faith. Success
in Prayer We are the sums of what we have done with our creative tools of Imagination, Thinking, and Desires (emotion). Don’t disturb the rhythm that keeps you perfect. Success depends on your own temperature as you approach your declarations in prayer. Getting up at 6:00 a.m. to pray is admirable. However, when you feel proud about it, or look down on those who don’t do the same, your temperature goes down (although you get credit for your faith, love and devotion of time). It can go below zero when the phone interrupts the Silence, and your prayers lose all their strength. You can pray in any position, but can sink in vibration when you are too comfortable. When you stand erect, the desire body lies exactly over the physical, part for part (heart for heart, etc.) You relax from the head up, with your live wire of Omnipotence plugged in. You can’t think yourself into the Heart of God. Using the mechanics of thought with prayer is good, but you miss something because you involve yourself with subconscious mind when you concentrate. Those who say to dwell on one word are teaching only on the mental plane. The subconscious mind is you as subsoul. Yet we are also egoic soul (conscious mind), Oversoul (superconscious mind), and the lifesparks in the physical sheath, which have evolved up through all the kingdoms to human form. Subconscious mind inhabits every cell in the body. A blow to the solar plexus touches every part of the body. When you push negativity down, the inner conflict causes the subconscious to boil. When the three Windows of the Soul (pineal and pituitary glands, and the crown) are open to Jerusalem, the soul nestles within white Light of the Christ, which switches on pure Love, and miracles come. All delays come on a lowered vibration. When you go into prayer on thinking, the vibration is lowered. If you enter the Silence on white heat, you can have Illumination and miracles. What you get from your healing treatments depends on your temperature when you enter the Silence. Don’t be too comfortable. Use all three phases of mind — superconscious mind, which motivates and inspires, egoic mind as the director and controller, and subconscious mind or memory, which must repair your "house," the body. You take care of your body, but don’t think about it when you enter the Silence. If you suddenly remember an unfinished task while in the Silence, a phone call for instance, thank the Father that the subconscious is reminding you. Don’t be upset or tear the conscious apart. If the phone interrupts your Silence, don’t be irritated. Know the caller has felt your line of Light. The River of Life is flowing twenty-four hours a day. The Power takes you directly through to the Source. You can have a great shot of Power any time, anywhere, busy or weary. Look up and say, "Thank Thee, Father," and see the Light for an instant. Undiluted pure Power returns over that line of Light, and spreads out like a blanket, covering the whole world, and everyone you ever prayed for gets a shot of Power. Your reward is great because the closer you get to the Light, the happier you are because Light is Joy. Thank your subconscious for every reminder and it will give you super memory. Be in complete devotion, living in that Sun Center day and night. We lift our hands when we pray. We make a chalice of the body, and inflate the aura by lifting our hands to either side of head, palms in. Lifting hands is a token of surrender to be used by the Power, and it opens the lotus centers. Nothing can touch you when you lift your hands. Crossing your hands over your breast is an attitude of invocation. The
Power to Transfigure We draw the seven breaths deliberately with each deep, natural breath. Three higher breaths descend to the solar plexus and four go out through all the nerves. The breath descends the spine to the sacrum plexus and ascends over the head. It descends over the shushumna, and ascends the ida and pingala in the desire body. The second breath descends the ida and ascends the pingala. This complicated breath is the Breath of Immortality. We may know the Kiss of the Serpent under Ascension, the lifting of Creative Fire from sacrum to crown for full Illumination. The magnetic currents (earth) and etheric currents (heaven) mingling, continuously create the Flame of Life in the lower creative center, the sacrum chakra. When consciously directed and used, it works wonders in rebuilding the body. It will absolutely remake and reconstruct the original pattern of perfection, no matter what the limitation may be. Follow each step of this treatment carefully. Remove your shoes (rubber, leather and manmade soles insulate in various degrees) and sit straight in a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Hold your hands upraised from the elbows, palms turned toward your ears, and close your eyes. The Flame of Life has two currents, a positive stream and negative stream, one on either side of the body, each doing its perfect work. Use your imagination to picture vividly the Creative Flame of Life as it flows to every cell of your body. Imagine the two streams of the Flame of Life flowing down through your hips, the left Flame through the left hip and the right Flame through the right hip. They flow through your thighs, knees, lower legs, ankles, insteps of your feet to your toes where you feel a tingling sensation. Turn the Flame of Life back at the tips of the toes, holding it within the body, not allowing any of it to escape. Direct it through the insteps, ankles, lower legs, knees, thighs, hips. Feel it gently melt and dissolve all irritation and pain, making every cell new and glorious with health. Now hold the right, positive Flame of Life at the right side. Take the negative, left Flame through the creative center at the sacrum, the base of the spine, through the kidneys, bladder and intestinal tract. Feel it dissolve all unnecessary accumulations, all irritation, feel it purify every organ as it flows. Take it through the liver, gall bladder and stomach, through the heart and lungs. Divide the Flame and feel it flow over each shoulder and down each arm, through elbows, wrists and hands where it will vibrate and tingle to the end of each finger. Turn it back, holding all of it within the body. Feel it flow through the hands, wrists, forearms, elbows and upper arms to the shoulders and into the neck. Take the Flame into the throat, larynx, mouth and tongue, into the roots of the teeth, burning away all dross. Let it move through the nostrils, ears and eyes, making them perfect Windows of the Soul. Direct the Flame into the upper head, into each cavity of the head, through the hair roots, making it shine with life. Hold the left Flame here until the right Flame of Life joins it. Direct the right, positive Flame of Life up through the spinal column. Send it through every set of nerves in each vertebra to every part of the body. Feel it flowing through, dissolving and absorbing anything less than perfection. Feel it building new cells and creating anew every organ. Let it fill the whole body with Light, Life and Glory, making the whole body a Temple of the Living God. Bring the right Flame of Life through the brain cells, the gland centers. Feel them becoming perfect instruments for registering the vibrations of Divine Mind, bestowing perfect perception of reality. Join the right, positive Flame to the left, negative Flame, completing the circuit. Know that this work is being done now. So it shall be, and so it is. All
Things Are Possible with God Everyone knows the difference between potential power and kinetic energy. Potential power, harnessed, can do anything. Kinetic energy is potential power released into action. Running wild, it is capable of extreme destruction, but harnessed, it can move the world. Some people have goals, are even-tempered, and control their life while conquering. Others fly off in all directions, lack self-control, and have no desire to conquer. The difference between them is one of soul expression versus self expression. Soul expression harnesses the potential Power of God and releases it through prayers and declarations, receiving miracles and success, as compared with delays for the "almost-hardlys," the atheists and agnostics who have no respect for the Power of God. "Of myself, I can do nothing." Breathe the Power of the Almighty. To man, a million things are impossible. Yet one man comes along who doesn’t believe it’s impossible, thinks or knows it’s possible and does it. If I declare it "impossible," so it is to me. If I declare, "Not I, but the Power can do anything. All things are possible with God. My God can do anything," so it shall be. A truth statement can be weak and unsure of itself. A declaration is a positive thing, born of the fire of conviction that Power is. To see the Truth, to believe the Truth, is not enough. Truth waits upon the declaration to move into action. A declaration of Power is like starting a jet engine. It ignites the Power into the atomic energy that does the work. "I now declare my new Truth of the Power of God to move into action, to fulfill all my dreams. I begin to transform my life. I move up to my Mount of Transfiguration, where Power does the work, where the renewing, rebuilding Glory of the Power of God vitalizes and quickens all my projects." Cosmic
Consciousness You are not a full Son or Daughter of God in consciousness until you move up to your Path of Destiny under Illumination. The current of emotion ebbs, like tides of the sea, leaving you high and dry, stuck until the tide comes in again to overwhelm you. At your very best, you do not hunger and thirst after God consciousness and so experience Illumination only occasionally. The trick is to let no one or anything get past your love barriers. When you slide down the pole away from Illumination, Intuition and Cosmic Consciousness, you fall back on your line of fate or creature nature. On the fate line, you get entangled with "human nature," all you have ever known in past incarnations. The excuses people use are all on the line of fate, the meridian at the solar plexus, represented by creature-consciousness. Desire moves up to Imagination, Thinking moves up and then you make your declaration. How many days do you hold it? How often do you go back on your declaration? How long is it going to take you to stand as God stands? It takes as long to bring about healing as it takes you to climb to cosmic consciousness. This is why we do not have more healing. Cosmic reality is perfection in all ways. Consciousness is the Life of God as you, day and night. Jungle man has faith in a stone, a tepid affair, but this is still cosmic consciousness or the consciousness of God as you, day and night. It is the degree of consciousness of cosmic reality that is important. One loses consciousness of cosmic reality through not holding to a high state of consciousness. All things of which you are conscious are degrees of cosmic reality, books you read, etc., but you lose them because you don’t hold on. The business of letting, climbing and ascending simultaneously is quite a challenge in coordination. God’s
Omnipresence God is everywhere evenly present and available. All declarations of physical fact are predicated upon the incomprehensible truth that the First Source Center is the Primal Cause of the universe physical phenomena of all space. The Father’s going forth is from the ends of the heavens, His circuit is to the ends of it, and nothing is hidden from the Light thereof. No one can hide from God. He sees all. We must teach this to children because too many adults patrol their body universes too much, watch for every ache and pain, and enjoy their poor health. Remember, nothing is hidden from the Light, which means that we treat with the release of Light. We put others up into the Light or we declare Shafts of Light over them, Light surrounding their homes, walls of Light between people, and Shafts of Fire for the evil ones. You need not drag your Oversoul vision down. Your egoic or conscious mind does the work while the subsoul-subconscious mind becomes the obedient servant. What
Is Power? What is a revolution? Every so often in a civilization, the masses underneath start moving. As they stretch to find room for growth, they push up, reaching for the warmth of the sun. They begin to revolve, moving everything around, resulting in a revolution. New ideas usually start a revolution. People, being pushed, start to revolve until even earth moves from a static condition to a new point. God has given us a secret weapon to aid us in this revolution. It is now changing the balance of power from darkness to Light, from evil to good. This weapon of God-given Power lies in one small four-letter word, "good." Good is God’s name upon earth. "I AM good" is the most powerful healing statement we can ever use. "I AM" has but one idea, it can’t be anything else, but we can degrade or drag it from its High Place. Do you want miracles? Declare, "I am good. You are good. This is good." Even if you knew nothing else but this, miracles would follow. "This is good. I AM loves for you. I AM loves you. I AM declares you are now healed. The Laboratory of Soul Our product is prayer, yet we must have the foundation ingredients and implements in our laboratory of life. A retort is a closed laboratory vessel with an outlet tube, used for distillation, sublimation, or decomposition by heat. We fill the retort three quarters full of Faith, add other ingredients, and make a product called character. Faith releases God’s full Power. A retort is also a quick, incisive reply, especially one that turns the first speaker’s words to his or her own disadvantage. Keep your retort filled with Love and Praise. Prayer is no good without action. Our Master gave us the key. He left us his Joy. We add a pinch of Joy, and something stirs us. We try another pinch of Joy, our mixture begins to bubble, so we add more Joy. Keep adding joy until it bubbles actively. Most people add just enough Joy to suggest a miracle. If it lacks sparkle, a product won’t sell. Praise adds that sparkle to prayer, and opens the great Source of our Faith. Praise is the sales pitch to make this product a success. Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire, uttered or unexpressed. We express our thoughts through the words we utter. A producer says, "I know that God can do anything." Our words are always selling the Kingdom of Heaven, the glory of God. Keep adding words of Praise, Joy and Faith to your life. You can put the fire out with just a few idle words. Prayer cannot be to the self. Used as a basis for lifting the world, our prayers may contain no demands. How would we gain our crowns if we had nobody out there to pray for? Pray for the other person – that the Light will go forth, that they will have compassion, all good, all love. Prayer expresses the soul’s thoughts, according to the degree of your words. If your words are negative, you will get what you send out. Solomon’s burnt offerings symbolize one thousand days of offering up self. Mystically this means that the thousand-petaled lotus is ready to burst into flame when we pray. Sacrifice little self and give the soul a chance. No outside power can hurt you, or get inside your aura, unless you say, "He hurt me," or, "This is one of those days." Who is in charge of your day? The more you lift, the more the Father gives you to lift. This is the glory, the Divine Pattern when you desire to make your one thousand days of burnt offerings. Your
Glorious Foundation Mystical miracles come through prayer and labor. Scientific miracles come through labor and prayer. A poet said, "Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire uttered or unexpressed." The scientist’s sincere desire is to succeed in bringing through something new. An obstetrician’s desire is to bring new life into the world. Many doctors and scientists pray. Labor is a physical and mental expenditure of energy, for example, the labored breathing of childbirth. The one who evades work and seeks to escape life works just as hard as those who produce. Electric lights, the great bridges of the world, instant communication and jet flight are scientific miracles. All progress is a miracle, from the two seeds of life that form the body of a child to the healing of the body or affairs. People who have been called back from death are often the recipients of a mystical miracle through prayer. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" We were fashioned according to God’s Eternal Law of all love, all courage, all everything, all good. Your application of God’s Power and Substance as personality gives you identity with God. You can draw upon the Breath of Life to touch the Source anytime. We have our firm foundation in the River of the Christed Life, which is our heritage, Eternal Life now, Omnipresence, Omniscience. The Spirit of God is your identity as a Star, Prince, Princess or Creator. Labor is either physical or mental. When you labor and say, "Let there be Light," the Light moves into your project. You do labor when you pray. How often must you make yourself pray? It takes steadfastness, determination, the Love of God, and faith in the mystic miracles we need. All of our relationships are under the mystic miracle of labor. The world accepts a scientific miracle only when someone has accomplished it, and some never accept. Accept your inheritance, and do not deviate, or lose your identity because of worldly problems. Why do you waver, doubt or lose faith? Say, "I AM of the Source of all healing. The Power does the work." Anything you can touch is of the one Power and Substance of God. Apply what you hear, not just to look at others, but to see yourself clearly and what you have done wrong. The secret is to remember what you saw when you later walk into the world vibration, so do not descend from the Light. Live on three levels at once. Be alive and alert. When you clear your subsoul of the trash of self, it will tell you where you left things, when to turn off the lights, etc., and clear up a fogged mind overnight. If you are so fond of your own voice, your own ideas, how will you hear or know when your "implanted word" is spoken? You have all the equipment, the prayer formula, etc., but check yourself and monitor your formula to see if it is successful. What
Is Your Inheritance? The Father does the work. You are the mouthpiece, the lifter, and you speak the word for healing. There can be no looking to see, no speaking negatives, just keep lifting. Under absolute Law, there is no place for excuses, no "whys." You must obey. Even God may not see a change in three or four incarnations. Just declare that every word you speak sends forth Power and Glory. Your teaching may blossom years later. The only way to Illumination is to be a seed planter, a waterer, one who sees and declares that Light works in the background. Beauty:
A Spiritual Way of Life You spend three-quarters of your life circumventing other people’s blocks, by talking how wonderful they are, dropping hints and praising, seeing them gradually putting off darkness and standing in Light, declaring they shall turn to the Light. Say, "You are stripped of all darkness you have concocted. You stand naked before God. You are a sun center of Light, now, living under truth and justice. According to my word shall it be done." We are God’s instruments. Declare that people are stripped naked of illness, of poverty, of evil doing, etc. See the President that way. Bombard him and everyone in government with Light. Practical
Methods for Creating Beauty To have miracles made visible, first ignore the impossible by saying, "Let there be Light." Then keep on thanking the Father for the miracle, without deviation or lukewarmness, until you see it. Anytime you keep declaring the Word, invoking the Light, praising, thanking, white hot with Faith and burning Desire, your mold is filled and your miracle becomes visible. This is how you get the "possibles" of God to overcome the "impossibles" of man. Know what you are praying for, and make your words of invocation clear. Subsoul says, "I’m not sure about it." Egoic soul says, "Stick to it, or it will never happen." Oversoul keeps saying, "Keep at it, and never stop." It takes time to pump self up again if you cool off. Don’t waste time in moving down. Get the tea kettle on "high" first. Go up and invoke Light. For a healing or prosperity treatment: 1. Make up your mind what you want as a miracle. 2. Invoke the Light. 3. Keep Power going by ignoring negativity ("Do I believe I can receive this?"). Move up in Light and invoke Power again. 4. Express gratitude until you see it. Omnipresence:
Time-Space "Whatever you do, do it gently, wisely and firmly." If you must do something you don’t think is worthwhile, do it well to make it pay dividends. Declare, "This is Light, here and now," and you and the situation are filled with Light when it is finished. Otherwise your vibration goes down and you become tired, even ill. Even when you must go to bed, declare that every pain is lifting force for the world, and you can make it your greatest hour. This eliminates the guilt for needing to go to bed. You are entitled then to the "free parking." You have wasted no time unless you so declare it. What your word is, happens. Don’t wipe out the few credits you get by saying, "I should not have gone" or "I talked on the phone too long. I wasted my time." You get back whatever you declare it to be. Your words will either knock you down or build you. "I believe this, but." The "but" is the goat that will return to butt you. Why do we dishonor God by crediting ourselves with nothing? We are going home to God from wherever we descend. The River of Life is flowing home. We have a choice as to how and when we go home. God has given us free choice, so He lets us get into these places for our stupidities. Wipe out your nonsense and fill it with sense. The
Future of the Ascending Supreme Being time-conscious usually permits doubt and fear to enter one’s world. When you complain and criticize another who wastes your time, you tie that person to you. If you curse a cud-chewer for holding you on the phone when you have planned your time, if you criticize her, you possess her. If you want freedom, put her on a cloud, declare her good, declare that her Guards shall take care of her, and bless all her loved ones. Lift others while she is talking. Then the Father extends your time, and you find the way to end the conversation. If you say, "I hear the door bell, I must leave you," you are not lying, but hear an inner bell. You steal time from yourself when you don’t move up and make those irritations pay dividends. Moving up permits miracles to come through, and answers to prayer. Why
Was a Messiah Needed? You limit God if you ask for only one or two miracles. Our asking for miracles is proof of our Love, Faith and Gratitude. Ask for miracles for the world. How many miracles can you ask for today’s quota? You can’t ask for enough. God can’t run short of Power or Substance. So speak the word for healing. Care about the people on your prayer list, that Light heals, and that the Power does the work. Do not ask for the same thing repeatedly, put a time limit on the answer, or keep peeking or demanding. Just continue saying, "Let there be Light. Thank Thee." You must have firm Love of God and vivid Imagination. See the glory of the miracles for which you prayed. Have marvelous expectancy, and keep Power moving through your petitioned miracles. Thank the Father for everything, all the time, and for more ideas to weave into miracles. of Light You are predestined to speak the word for healing. Have you ever become an active challenger for God? To become a complete challenger, that’s your goal. Evil cannot stand the full blast of Power through you. "Father, make me an instrument so surrendered that regardless if others fall on their faces, You can use me. My orbit is a sun center. Light cushions me. My privilege is to declare that none of these things touch me, but if they do, the Light is wiping them out." Stand, endure, hold. Pay no attention. The time comes when you can say, "This is enough delay. This is good." We are challengers of Light and Creators of tomorrows, which are to become whole and complete. Cover slums with Consuming Fire. Light Have no inner conflict about outer conditions. Declare that Light goes forth into your affairs. You don’t ignore an outer happening, but encircle it with Light and don’t recreate it while Light does the work. Don’t educate God about your sins or illnesses. He knows more about you than you know about yourself. Confess once, never again. When you become one with God, you need not think about it. Go up and let nothing deter you.
